AIBU or has DP been a twat

DP works nights but came home last night at midnight as there was an issue at work, he woke me up to ask me to set an alarm on my phone for very early morning so he didn't miss football (he plays every Sunday, straight after he gets off work) then proceeded to keep me up until gone 1:00am. He couldn't use his own alarm apparently, as his phones playing up.

I have a baby at home and am pregnant so need whatever sleep I can get at the moment.

He stays up watching TV until gone 2, disturbing me again when he came to bed then proceeded to keep me up for the remainder of the night with his snoring. I then get woken again by his stupid alarm going off on my phone.

He goes to football this morning and calls after the match to say he's just finishing an after match pint (uncommon for him so no problem there) and do I want to meet him in town in 25 minutes after I've collected a parcel, so we can take DS to the park and grab some dinner.

I collect the parcel and go to town, standing about with the pram for over half an hour. I text him to say I'm here then he rings and says he'll be another hour because his team mate has got him another pint, but it's not his fault because he didn't ask for it.

I say well what do you want me to do then? He replies that it's up to me. Irritated and tired I hung up and came home.

AIBU and hormonal or has he acted like a twat.

Nope YADNBU. What a twat.

Hohocabbage · 11/11/2018 14:57

Twat

Endofthelinefinally · 11/11/2018 14:58

I would be furious.
Selfish, thoughtless, inconsiderate....
Does he have any good qualities?

HellenaHandbasket · 11/11/2018 14:58

Yup, twat on all counts

Hocusypocus · 11/11/2018 14:59

I'm absolutely exhausted and could do with a thirty minute nap but can't even do that because he's still at the pub, an hour and a half later Angry

I'm not one to rain on his parade and often encourage him to have fun just not at my expense

Test vote here. Selfish twat

Stereomum · 11/11/2018 15:00

Twat

thebear1 · 11/11/2018 15:00

Twat, it is perfectly possible to leave a pint.

Endofthelinefinally · 11/11/2018 15:01

Still at the pub?
I am lost for words.
Sad

Glasshalffull99 · 11/11/2018 15:01

Twat.

Hocusypocus · 11/11/2018 15:02

If it were me in that situation I'd have thanked the buyer for the drink but explained DP and DS were waiting for me and offered it to somebody else, there were enough of them there.

Twat.

Dh has done that to me before. I’ve agrred to stay up and pick him up from a night out so have driven in to town. Waited at agreed spot etc. Don’t mind waiting 10 minutes or so but it’s when I’ve text and he’s casually said he’s just buying another round that’s when I’ve left and gone home. Bugger waiting.

Cheeeeislifenow · 11/11/2018 15:05

Did you go home? Where are you now?what a fucking inconsiderate prick.

Shoxfordian · 11/11/2018 15:06

Yes he's a twat
Is he usually this inconsiderate?

MsHopey · 11/11/2018 15:07

All of it was unfortunate but not super international until him leaving you waiting round because of the new pint. That's ridiculous, made worse by the fact you had your son with you and was expecting some family time together.
DHs phone is shite, his alarm went off at 1:30am this morning (his work alarm but forgot to turn it off!), we stayed up chatting a bit in the night, and I'm 15 weeks pregnant and have a 15mo DS who doesn't sleep properly. So for alot of it I can completely UNDERSTAND. DHs hobby isnthe gym not football though.
But he would never leave me waiting outside with our DS while he has another pint when we had plans and he'd specifically asked me to meet him somewhere.
So, mostly unfortunate circumstances of differing routines and schedules. The pint this is 100% taking the piss and I would definitely not be happy.

Urbanbeetler · 11/11/2018 15:08

He manipulated this to spend the afternoon in the pub.

Singlenotsingle · 11/11/2018 15:08

So what's happening about the dinner? He doesn't deserve any, unless he's going to take you out and feed you.

Urbanbeetler · 11/11/2018 15:08

Afternoon in pub and make it all your fault. He’s a dickhead.

Hocusypocus · 11/11/2018 15:09

I'm at home now, in a foul mood.

I'd have wanted his head on a stick if I gave him the benefit of the doubt and opted to stand around even longer.

He's clearly taken this opportunity to take full advantage of the fact he may as well stay at the pub as he's already pissed me off.

He does have form for being inconsiderate, not always but this isn't the first time we've argued about him taking the piss.

LongWalkShortPlank · 11/11/2018 15:09

Wow. I'm actually shocked. Total lack of regard for you.

VisitorsEntrance · 11/11/2018 15:09

The alarm and keeping you awake thing is a dick move and would be annoying.
The ‘oh my mate just bought me another pint’ thing would send me over the edge.

ENormaSnob · 11/11/2018 15:11

Selfish cunt

Hocusypocus · 11/11/2018 15:11

Dinner isn't happening unless he decides to pick something up on the way home, DS has had his lunch and I'm going to make a sandwich.

I could have overlooked the disturbing my sleep and keeping me up, it happens, it's the blatant disregard today that's tipped it over the edge.

OP posts:
Tiredmum100 · 11/11/2018 15:23

Another vote for selfish twat.

diddl · 11/11/2018 15:24

"He does have form for being inconsiderate, "

Oh dear.

"I could have overlooked the disturbing my sleep and keeping me up, "

Why would you?

What a selfish twat he is.
