I think I am insanely jealous. So don’t know whether I am BU?

My partner has started tutoring a 19 year old. He is a teacher but she is resisting as she wants a grade 9.

He hasn’t said much about her. I showed him a Facebook picture of her as I know of her. He said she is prettier than that in real life.
Now he thinks this is subjective and nothing untoward. Like he thinks our daughter is pretty.

AIBU and just a jealous hag?

They don't actually, there was a survey reported in the media not that long ago and the verdict was that men prefer women close to their own age.

It's a bit weird for him to comment on the attractiveness of a teenaged but if he isn't doing it regularly / was just responding to you showing him a picture I wouldn't get worked up about it.

YABU to think all men fancy teenagers.

My DH does not fancy 19 year old women, that wouldnt even enter his conciousness as a thing. Even if he did theres no way a 19 yearold would fancy him, youre being a bit silly tbh.

This is on you. I was out with DH last week and a very pretty younger woman in very short shorts (not knocking her she looked fantastic) was walking directly in front of us, she definitely caught my eye, in a slightly wistful I remember when I could wear shorts like that, way, DH didn't even seem to notice but did point out another guy's 'awesome batman t shirt' shortly after, and even if he did, so what he's chosen to be with me and I know he loves me. You seem very insecure.

My dh would be horrified if I insinuated that he fancied a woman, just 2 years older than dd! I'm 12 years older than him and he fancies the pants off me, so I'm guessing he can't be the only man in the world that finds older women attractive?!

My DH probably finds some 19 year olds attractive, but he’d probably never do anything about it.

Nineteen year olds are generally full of energy and enthusiasm and enjoy hanging out, chatting shit, and drinking too much with other 19 year olds.

At 46, my DH is exhausted enough as it is and I’m only 6 years younger than him. So he probably enjoys the thought of having a 19 year old girlfriend, but I think the reality would probably kill him.

In fact, if my DH did find himself a 19 year old girlfriend and managed to keep up with her, I’d be so impressed, I’d probably shake his hand, wish him luck and wave him off Grin

Also, "men prefer younger women" is bullshit. Not an insignificant number of us prefer men - older or younger! Or even (gasp!) don't really care about age!

Some single Men will try and shag a younger Woman. i'm a Woman, I had fuck buddies, in my 30's that were 22-27.

It doesn't mean that all Men are constantly on the hunt for someone younger.

Some Men prefer to date and sleep with their own age group.

I'll comment on the attractiveness of other Women, so do my DDs. It doesn't mean that we fancy them.
