To make him wash his own trousers

Last night my OH went out it was the the 10th anniversary of the bar so the drinks were flowing free, I don't mind that he got super drunk if I wasn't BF with a young baby I would have loved it, however when he came back he informed me drunkenly he had peed his trousers I made him wipe himself down (too drunk to wash) and go to bed after inspecting his clothes he had sh*t himself royally it's a mess!!!

Do I bag it up and make him wash it when he comes back from work at 1pm even though he is warmed up death today?

What's the worse state your partners been in?

I'd bag it and throw it in the bin and tell him why. No way is it your job to deal with that!

If he was genuinely ill and had an accident I'd look after him and have every sympathy. But drunk? No, that's grim and he needs to deal with the consequences.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 24/03/2018 10:12

Of course he washes his own trousers!! He is two. Why isn’t he washing his own trousers anyway? Confused

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 24/03/2018 10:12

He isnt two.

5inabed · 24/03/2018 10:13

That's disgusting and my husband has never got so drunk he's wet and shat himself. If he did he would be sorting himself out.

GrumpyWhenHungry · 24/03/2018 10:15

Course he washes his own trousers

I wouldn't be touching them

Dvg · 24/03/2018 10:15

Thats disgusting.. i would chuck them.

Lifeisabeach09 · 24/03/2018 10:16

Definitely let him see his mess then it's up to him whether he washes or throws out.
I'd advise you not to!

YoohooDorothy · 24/03/2018 10:16

Oh no! I'd bin them to be honest. Where are they now? I'm not sure i'd want them sitting there til 1pm!

DelphiniumBlue · 24/03/2018 10:17

He was so drunk that he became incontinent? That's really worrying, is it the first time that's happened?
But no, why on earth would you even be considering cleaning up after him?
I must just say though, I'm impressed that he's actually got up and gone to work, he must be feeling dreadful. Hopefully he's not driving.

I would just think that, unless he has a particular susceptibility to alcohol, that is awfully drunk for the father of a small baby to be.

LoveManyTrustfew · 24/03/2018 10:19

In his defence......there is a vile bug going around that involves only just getting to the loo and feeling spacey and throwing up.

I had two drinks last Friday, woke up with what I thought was the hangover from hell and couldn't figure it out and then the symptoms kicked in and I had to miss a day and evening out that been in the planning for a year.

DH was symapthetic, but even more so when he got it.

Long answer to a short question... Grin

Bag them up and put them outside the back door, let him decide.

If he does decide to wash them, remember to run the washing machine on empty at 90 afterwards.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 24/03/2018 10:19

Id leave them next to him

Firstimefreaked · 24/03/2018 10:21

He generally works long hours and I'm a sahm I don't mind doing his laundry as he puts it away. The trousers are grim we are going away tomo I'm seriously considering throwing them out now. We can buy more.

Depends if you think he'll be sufficiently embarrassed already. If my dh did this, I'd find it quite funny (as long as it was a lone incident). I'd be more tempted to wash them for him, then when he got home give him cuddles and make him cups of tea. Then of course, when he's feeling better make him grovel and take the piss out of him royally.

HonkyWonkWoman · 24/03/2018 10:25

Oh dear! Just put his shitty pants in a bin bag and leave it outside the back door.
I would also be stripping the bed and washing sheets as he just wiped himself down and went to bed with a shitty arse.
Fucking disgusting!

italiancortado · 24/03/2018 10:26

I'm slightly confused at why a grown adult would need to ask other people whether it was ok to make another grown adult wash their own clothes Confused. Are you a general dogsbody? There doesn't seem to be much balance in your relationship if you are questioning what to do here.

Here the shit covered trousers would be in the bin and I would be waking him up and sending him straight in the shower so the beds could be stripped.

GrumpyWhenHungry · 24/03/2018 10:28

Doing his laundry is fine

Washing pissy pants isn't fine

Definitely make him wash them, along with the bedding

BennyTheBall · 24/03/2018 10:28

Are you serious? He pissed and shat himself and you're asking about laundry like it's no big deal Confused

Firstimefreaked · 24/03/2018 10:30

He walks to work otherwise there would be harsh words, I was surprised he managed to get up at 8am. No he doesn't useually have accidents I think it was the mix of no dinner and liquor.

I feel more bad for him thN and upset, he kept going on how he was shameful for being so drunk lol

OP posts:
ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 24/03/2018 10:31

What grown adult would let someone else clean up their shit like that aside from being too ill to do it yourself?? Surely he would get actually let you clean it OP?

PlumsGalore · 24/03/2018 10:31

I would be very angry, no way would I throw them away though. I would insist hefaced up to them in the cold light of day and washed them. Act like a child, treat him like a child.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 24/03/2018 10:31

wouldnt

user1483387154 · 24/03/2018 10:32

Make him dispose of them. You should not be the one to deal with this mess

DullAndOld · 24/03/2018 10:32

he got so drunk he shit his pants? really?
obviously he should clean himself up, he is not a toddler is he?
I would think really carefully about wanting to be with an alcoholic who shits his pants tbh, esp with a child.
