To make him wash his own trousers

Firstimefreaked · 24/03/2018 10:04

Last night my OH went out it was the the 10th anniversary of the bar so the drinks were flowing free, I don't mind that he got super drunk if I wasn't BF with a young baby I would have loved it, however when he came back he informed me drunkenly he had peed his trousers I made him wipe himself down (too drunk to wash) and go to bed after inspecting his clothes he had sh*t himself royally it's a mess!!!

Do I bag it up and make him wash it when he comes back from work at 1pm even though he is warmed up death today?

What's the worse state your partners been in?

No he he generally doesn't drink. Maybe I should remember he's not a child or someone I care for in that manner but he's generally a lovely man and this was very unusual behaviour.

So he was too drunk to wash after you saw he'd peed himself but he also crapped himself so his arse must have been smeared in shit. Where did he sleep? It must be everywhere. Did he shower? Did he bleach the shower afterwards if he did? I'd be appalled.

MissMary0fSweden · 24/03/2018 10:52

Lots of people do all of those things AND manage not to lose control of their bodily functions after a night out OP.

Don't fall for the thing of thinking that everything you read on MN is true and most men are feckless idiots so you have to be grateful and put up with anything if you live with one who can find the dishwasher.

It's great that you're okay with what your husband did, no ones saying you should divorce him for it. But maybe reflect if it's actually that hilarious? Will it still be funny if it it happens again? Out with your friends? In front of your children?

It's not normal.

username182 · 24/03/2018 10:53

How did he not cover the bed in mess?
I could not laugh at this, it's disgusting and certainly would not be cleaning it up

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 24/03/2018 10:53

But surely he won’t let you wash his trousers? Right? He is a lovely man so he is obviously mortified that he hasn’t left shit sitting in the house he shares with his wife and child. So he plans to wash them/bin them as soon as he gets home from work. Clearly. It’s the only thing a lovely man would do. So that solves your problem OP. He totally intends to do them himself. So you just leave them.

Lacucuracha · 24/03/2018 10:54

This is so depressing, not funny at all.

And now his evil friends are responsible for him drinking so much he shat himself. Confused

Steeley113 · 24/03/2018 10:54

When I worked in a&e we’d see this all the time and it’s never funny. It’s always just disgraceful that people get into such a bloody state. Bin the trousers, they ain’t worth saving. And make sure you tell him what a disgrace he is.

Twogoround · 24/03/2018 10:54

Don't you shit your self on coke. ?

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 24/03/2018 10:55

How did he not cover the bed in mess?

He did. OP has already stripped and washed the bed. Which she will do with his trousers too. We all know she will.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 24/03/2018 10:55

Don't you shit your self on coke. ?

Yup

Firstimefreaked · 24/03/2018 10:56

I think I might be too laid back for mumsnet, he is definitely not a alcoholic he can useually stop drink and might have a half pint with lunch. I've thrown the trousers and ordered some new ones online.

Different strokes for different folks, anyway I did get some good advice for some reason didn't think about washing the bedsheets for some reason and that I can throw those jeans away.

italiancortado · 24/03/2018 10:56

There were people from work there it wouldn't surprise me if they goaded him on to drink more, but it's all done now.

Hmm
DullAndOld · 24/03/2018 10:57

oh he was 'goaded on' to drink so much that he shit himself was he?
what nasty nasty colleagues..Hmm

Firstimefreaked · 24/03/2018 10:58

Dint think about coke I would be angry if that was the case. We will have a talk when he gets back.

I've thrown the trousers and ordered some new ones online.

Grin what a shocking outcome.

DullAndOld · 24/03/2018 10:58

" he is definitely not a alcoholic "

ok then you just keep telling yourself that.

Firstimefreaked · 24/03/2018 10:59

Anyway thanks for the reasonable advice I'm going to dash, bye bye.

OP posts:
Blaablaablaa · 24/03/2018 11:00

What have you thrown them away and ordered new ones? That's how you treat a child not a grown man.
The least you should have done is made him sort his own mess out.

He must have drunk an awful lot to get into that kind of a state. It wouldn't surprise me if something other than alcohol was involved

MissMary0fSweden · 24/03/2018 11:00

I'm perfectly laid back thanks Grin

didn't think about washing the bedsheets for some reason

Maybe higher your standards a bit?

callmeadoctor · 24/03/2018 11:00

That is truly vile, ive never heard of anybody doing that before. If it was my DH i would certainly be concerned. Are you sure that he is not ill?

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 24/03/2018 11:00

Yes it was those scary big boys that made him drink and do coke and he’s not really a naughty boy. His mummy thinks he’s lovely.

SilverySurfer · 24/03/2018 11:01

I'm trying but failing to understand how this something to laugh about, it's utterly disgusting and the trousers would be in the bin.

lizzie1970a · 24/03/2018 11:01

Could you not smell him if you slept in the same bed? It'll be on the duvet cover etc, if he scratched himself in the night it could be spread about ever surface in your home including light switches. If he didn't shower before work then he'll be smelling to high heaven and people will be talking about him. If he did shower you'll have to go over the whole area with bleach or disinfectant. I would not be happy he's left this all to me.

Notproudofthisone · 24/03/2018 11:02

Put them in the bin, along with him.

Emma198 · 24/03/2018 11:03

That is disgusting. The worse mine has ever got was when he was sick on the floor of a hotel room. I made him clean it up himself then later he realised he'd scooped his phone charger up with the sick in to a carrier bag - he put his hand in to get it out (boak) but it never worked again obvs 😂. No way would I be washing shitty trousers. Or letting him go to bed covered in piss for that matter.
