Guns n Roses. Why?

Without my knowledge DD (6) has trawled Spotify only to proclaim that her favourite song is Welcome to the Jungle and she loves Guns n Roses.

How can this possibly have happened. I have done my best to get it right, really I have. Please help. What can I do?

It could be worse, she could be into Little Mix, or Justin Beiber! I put a Ryan Adams song on in the car the other day and my five year old said it sounded like a Smiths song so I’m obviously guilty of pushing my personal tastes on him Grin

Hmm personally I'd be relieved that she's not forcing you to listen to some squeaky Arianna Grande / Taylor Swift type junk.

I used to love G&R back when Axel didn't have a plastic face - not sure about the lyrics of that particular song for a six year old though...

I am a huge GNR fan but wouldn’t want my 6 year old listening to them!!

Love Guns n Roses. My girls are massive Bon Jovi fans though hearing my 5 year old singing 'the street lights not much better but at least I'm getting paid' and 'my life's a bargain basement, all the big ships gone' were not my finest parenting movements....

I listened to them when I was a kid, I didn't understand the lyrics fully, never hurt me.

That album was a classic. But the whole 80s-90s Los Angeles rock/ heavy metal scene is not ideal for a young child...

You should be so proud. GnR is my all time favourite band. I love them, they're so unique and talented. I'd be more concerned and ashamed if one of my kids told me they liked today's chart music.
