Guns n Roses. Why?

Without my knowledge DD (6) has trawled Spotify only to proclaim that her favourite song is Welcome to the Jungle and she loves Guns n Roses.

How can this possibly have happened. I have done my best to get it right, really I have. Please help. What can I do?

It could be worse, she could be into Little Mix, or Justin Beiber! I put a Ryan Adams song on in the car the other day and my five year old said it sounded like a Smiths song so I’m obviously guilty of pushing my personal tastes on him Grin

BeanFobbedOff · 10/03/2018 17:32

You're right. Paradise city is much better.

ScreamingValenta · 10/03/2018 17:33

I would be congratulating her on her excellent taste Grin.

toriap2 · 10/03/2018 17:33

Good taste will out lol.

Igottastartthinkingbee · 10/03/2018 17:33

Love a bit of GnR!

Whisky2014 · 10/03/2018 17:33

I think it's a great choice!

BadTasteFlump · 10/03/2018 17:33

Hmm personally I'd be relieved that she's not forcing you to listen to some squeaky Arianna Grande / Taylor Swift type junk.

I used to love G&R back when Axel didn't have a plastic face - not sure about the lyrics of that particular song for a six year old though...

Whisky2014 · 10/03/2018 17:33

In fact, who doesn't like guns n roses?!?!

nancy75 · 10/03/2018 17:34

Could be worse, she could have chosen November Rain

Musicalstatues · 10/03/2018 17:34

I am a huge GNR fan but wouldn’t want my 6 year old listening to them!!
Excellent taste though!

LastOneDancing · 10/03/2018 17:34

Play November Rain to her. Seal the deal.

DragonBones · 10/03/2018 17:34

Haha, my 6 year olds love GnR too thanks DH
I cleansed their minds with the Clash.

Love DRA. Just saying. He'd love your son for that as well.

nuttynutjob · 10/03/2018 17:35

She has excellent taste. Try Gorillaz?

BadTasteFlump · 10/03/2018 17:36

November Rain is a bit shit though, imo.

ginghambox · 10/03/2018 17:37

What exactly is wrong with GNR.
Compared to the shite being produced nowaydays they are like Beethoven.

TheWitchwithNoName · 10/03/2018 17:38

Your so lucky, my DS (9) keeps playing Oasis. Love GnR

JugglingMummyof2 · 10/03/2018 17:38

Love Guns n Roses. My girls are massive Bon Jovi fans though hearing my 5 year old singing 'the street lights not much better but at least I'm getting paid' and 'my life's a bargain basement, all the big ships gone' were not my finest parenting movements....

LeighaJ · 10/03/2018 17:39

I listened to them when I was a kid, I didn't understand the lyrics fully, never hurt me.

AndhowcouldIeverrefuse · 10/03/2018 17:39

That album was a classic. But the whole 80s-90s Los Angeles rock/ heavy metal scene is not ideal for a young child...

PlayingInPuddles · 10/03/2018 17:39

You should be so proud. GnR is my all time favourite band. I love them, they're so unique and talented. I'd be more concerned and ashamed if one of my kids told me they liked today's chart music.

Cadence70 · 10/03/2018 17:40

I would be utterly proud, I got to meet Slash and Duff and got my tits signed, total rock n roll moment, I regret nothing 😈

NorthernLurker · 10/03/2018 17:41

I think you've done a great job.

beluga425 · 10/03/2018 17:41

BeanFobbedOff I'd forgotten Paradise City, we're listening to it now!
