Guns n Roses. Why?

Without my knowledge DD (6) has trawled Spotify only to proclaim that her favourite song is Welcome to the Jungle and she loves Guns n Roses.

How can this possibly have happened. I have done my best to get it right, really I have. Please help. What can I do?

DS used to have fabulous musical taste aka mine. His naming ceremony playlist was brilliant, a mix of punk, Ink Spots, Doris Day, indie.

Now I have to listen to System of a Down. 😖

My first (unrequited) love was Axl Rose. He looks like hammered shit now but by God he was beautiful back in the day.

ds used to love guns n roses, bon jovi, def leppard and some of the milder AC/DC etc, but is 14 now and prefers all that modern pop/rap crap.

I didn't go to see them on tour last year as it made me feel a bit sad. Would rather remember seeing them at Wembley stadium in 1992 when I was 14. What a day that was.

I was so proud of my then 4 year old DD when the DJ at a family wedding asked the guests for a favourite song to play for the B&G and she asked for “anything by Bon Jovi”.

My cousin (the groom) said she was the coolest little girl he knew and swung her around the dance floor to “Its My Life”.

Play 'Sweet Child o' Mine' to her.

I never get tired of hearing it.

I think that’s great! I’ve got my three doing back up vocals on Hounds of Love in the back of the car. They love the chilli peppers too, ds2 just asks me to put on “lips”. We have a varied musical taste but the eldest already has a soft spot for littlemix so our days are numbered.

My main criticism of GnR is that Axl sounds like a cat going meow.

Incidentally she still loves Bin Jovi, GnR, Aerosmith and Queen but is also an absolute Beatles fanatic!
