To consider indoor grass in living room?

We are seriously considering using artificial grass to carpet our living room. Are there any possible issues with this that we have not considered?

What

SimonBridges · 09/03/2018 21:40

Really? I knew a pub that had real turf in the bar.

NapQueen · 09/03/2018 21:41

The fact that its bonkers.

Peachyking000 · 09/03/2018 21:41

Presuming this is serious, I know a few people who have this in their kids bedrooms. My concern would be keeping it clean - wouldn’t it be a magnet for dirt, crispy things, crumbs etc getting stuck in it?

CanIBuffalo · 09/03/2018 21:41

Can you hoover it?
Spills?
Soft under foot?

SaucyJack · 09/03/2018 21:42

I'm all for people living how they like- but there is a line.

(And I suspect you've just snorted it.)

fuzzywuzzy · 09/03/2018 21:43

Do you have pets or kids? How would you keep it clean? Our cats would prolly try and pee in it.

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 09/03/2018 21:43

My dog would piss in it.
if I had one

crunchymint · 09/03/2018 21:43

Yes we are serious. Surely you can hoover it. It is used outside so has to be pretty tough.

What are your reasons for wanting it? Personally I wouldn't as it's not as nice to walk on as wooden or carpeted floors.

AtSea1979 · 09/03/2018 21:44

I have never heard of this. Would your interiors be like garden themed?

Mintylemons · 09/03/2018 21:44

Could you clean vomit out of it?

TheFaerieQueene · 09/03/2018 21:44

No just no.

crunchymint · 09/03/2018 21:44

Our reason is that we think it would look amazing with our current blue decor.

GummyGoddess · 09/03/2018 21:47

Have you walked around on it in bare feet or in socks?

timeforabrewnow · 09/03/2018 21:47

This is sooooo stupid it must definitely be a wind up.

If you want someting to match your 'blue decor' - why not have a bright green disgusting carpet??

timeforabrewnow · 09/03/2018 21:48

Oh no wait

You want fake grass - obvious really Confused

crunchymint · 09/03/2018 21:48

We had originally looked to get a green carpet, but no wind up. We are seriously considering this.

Um... @crunchy, have you been hacked? I can’t imagine this looking ‘amazing’. But then I’m not known for my interior design prowess. Prove me wrong (and then post a photo).

mnahmnah · 09/03/2018 21:49

You can hoover it! My friend hoovers her outside stuff

crunchymint · 09/03/2018 21:49

No not been hacked and if we go ahead I will have to name change.

Shag carpeting can look grass like. Probably easier to maintain than artifical grass inside.
