Like... one you make when you really can't be bothered or one you have and feel ashamed to eat and would never eat in front of anyone?

Mine is a baked potato, drowned in butter and cheese.... with Princes tinned minced beef and onions on top Blush

I know why... there used to be (still is actually) And baked potato stall in the little town I grew up in and I used to have this every Saturday whilst my mum did the shopping.

However when I make it, even I look at it and think "this is so gross" And DP always looks at me like Confused ... it is delicious though. Would never tell anybody that's what I had for my tea tonight nor woukd I ever ever ever eat tinned mince on anything else (I think i would be sick)

When DH was a teenager he used to eat Heinz tomato soup with Smash on the top. Bleurgh.

UpstartCrow · 18/02/2018 20:05

Fried egg sandwich with white bread, and a tin of beans with little sausages in. Go on, judge me Grin

CanIhavedessertfirst · 18/02/2018 20:06

I used to eat a bowl full of sweet corn, with beetroot and branston pickle on top, with a side of salt and vinegar crisps, but had to be ridged crisps.

NameChangeDestroyer · 18/02/2018 20:06

Boil in the bag fish in parsley sauce with mashed potatoes and ketchup.

When I was a kid my gran used to make it when I was ill. Whenever I feel poorly/sad/stressed I really crave it as a pure comfort thing.

lifechangesforeverinjuly · 18/02/2018 20:18

Pasta with mayonnaise mixed in whilst warm and cheese on top.. DH thinks it's absolutely disgusting but it's one of my favourite things in life Grin

alltoomuchrightnow · 18/02/2018 20:19

not a meal (as such!) but for breakfast at work in the Noughties I worked opposite M&S...would pour a packet of Fizzy Fish into a cherry yogurt... I still crave this , don't think they do FF any more! My colleagues used to be totally appalled on every level

Ginkypig · 18/02/2018 20:19

Pea sandwiches or rolls

Or macaroni cheese sandwiches or rolls

baylisbaylis · 18/02/2018 20:21

Melted Chocolate sandwich ....
whole tablet of chocolate inside a baguette under the grill until the chocolate has melted.
Like cheese on toast but so much better!

Ginkypig · 18/02/2018 20:21

Oh and dp has recently introduced me to crisps and coleslaw on well fired rolls. We have them every Saturday for lunch now Blush

Nervousrex · 18/02/2018 20:23

A thickly buttered cheese sandwich fried in more than enough butter on both sides until the cheese is melted and stringy.

Heartburn city. But sooo delicious.

Buglife · 18/02/2018 20:24

I’m pregnant and I had a delicious meal of potato waffles toppe with piles of grated cheese, mayonnaise and sriracha hot sauce...

NewSense · 18/02/2018 20:25

Lasandwich... Cold leftover lasagne in a sandwich. Mmmmm....

overnightangel · 18/02/2018 20:26

@CanIhavedessertfirst that sounds so bad I can’t help but applaud you Smile

NewtScamandersNaughtyNiffler · 18/02/2018 20:27

Microwave mushroom rice mixed into a tin of chicken in white sauce. I have it for lunch at work at least once a fortnight.

TeachesOfPeaches · 18/02/2018 20:27

Baylis that sounds absolutely heavenly

SneakyGremlins · 18/02/2018 20:29

Pasta cooked in gravy, served in said gravy Blush

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 18/02/2018 20:32

Curly fries & cheese.
Tin of stewed steak on a lathered in butter jacket potato, just bloody gorgeous Grin

iamyourequal · 18/02/2018 20:32

Our ‘emergency meal’ is a tinned fray bentos meat pie with tinned peas and boiled potatoes, ketchup and brown sauce- classy! I’m known as someone who cooks from scratch so I always hide it at the bottom of the shopping trolley in case I bump into anyone. I do same with the kids tinned spaghetti with little sausages in it. I also like banana and peanut butter sandwiches.
