Like... one you make when you really can't be bothered or one you have and feel ashamed to eat and would never eat in front of anyone?

Mine is a baked potato, drowned in butter and cheese.... with Princes tinned minced beef and onions on top Blush

I know why... there used to be (still is actually) And baked potato stall in the little town I grew up in and I used to have this every Saturday whilst my mum did the shopping.

However when I make it, even I look at it and think "this is so gross" And DP always looks at me like Confused ... it is delicious though. Would never tell anybody that's what I had for my tea tonight nor woukd I ever ever ever eat tinned mince on anything else (I think i would be sick)

Sainsbury's basics macaroni cheese, microwaved for too long, with extra cheese, microwave Walls sausages, and ketchup. YUMMO.

Ljlsmum · 18/02/2018 21:34

Toasted mushy pea toasty sandwich with plenty of salt in or bean toasty. Very studenty.

BarbaraofSevillle · 18/02/2018 21:35

There's a BBQ restaurant in Leeds that does a donut burger. I've never had one because I don't like burgers, but it definitely is a thing.

n0ne · 18/02/2018 21:37

My brother invented 'full pant thing' (don't ask) which was basically beans, sweetcorn, maybe soup, pickle, cheese, whatever was in the cupboard, chucked in a bowl, microwaved and eaten with bread. I also used to often eat 99p Admirals pies, and tinned Heinz macaroni cheese (not together).

But the worst I eat nowadays is probably packet noodles (the absolute cheapest oriental ones) or fish fingers, oven chips and beans, which isn't that bad.

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 18/02/2018 21:40

Fish fingers and oven chips was my diet from around 5 years to 11! As I didn’t like the spicy foods my mum cooked. That and rice with ketchup or butter!

Oysterbabe · 18/02/2018 21:41

A steak and kidney pie sandwich with ketchup. Must be crappy white bread, hot pie and very cold ketchup.

MustObey · 18/02/2018 21:45

Bernard Matthews Turkey Drummer sandwich........white bread, heavily buttered, 3 turkey drummers and salad cream........haven’t had it for a while now......do you even still get turkey drummers?

GreatGatsby212 · 18/02/2018 21:46

Any supermarket bbq ribs, full rack, with a tub of 'finest' coleslaw...... best meal ever...

ghostyslovesheets · 18/02/2018 21:48

eggy bread with cheese

savory rice butties

beans and coleslaw

Pettyspaghetti · 18/02/2018 21:51

Fatrascals it’s a thing! Blush it’s called a Luther burger, I first saw it on an episode on man V food and fell in love 😂

WineAndTiramisu · 18/02/2018 21:52

Jacket potato with baked beans and garden peas mixed together

Hippadippadation · 18/02/2018 21:53

Toasted thick sliced white bread with mushy peas and a shedload of salt & vinegar.

callmekitten · 18/02/2018 22:00

Mushroom rice in a pan with half a tin of condensed mushroom soup thinned down with milk to make a dollopy mess. Looks horrific but tastes as near to mushroom risotto as you can expect for a 5 minute cooking job.
This is my favorite thing to eat when I'm not feeling well.
Noodles with lots of melted butter and ketchup. Ketchup sandwiches are also good - white bread spread liberally with butter and a thin layer of ketchup. It's very important that the butter be cold for these.
Whisk a raw egg or 2 and add salt and pepper. Dip chunks of bread into the mixture and eat. Learned this one from my Mom. We only had it when Dad was away because he thought it was horrible.
Cold white rice, sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon and topped with milk. Mom used to make this for us when we had leftover rice.

Blackbutler86 · 18/02/2018 22:01

Linda McCartney vegan scampi with lots of jalapeño houmous in thick white bread or French stick

I have a thing for making anything a sandwich filler really, double carbs are my favourite ie some sort of potato or rice or pasta in bread

IAmMumWho · 18/02/2018 22:03

I have lots of different concoctions of food,

Peanut butter sandwiches with wotsits
Pasta and tom sauce
Pasta and mayo
Jam and cheese toast together
Instant mash with spaghetti

I'm just a whatever is quick for me kinda gal

ClaireUnderwoodforPresident · 18/02/2018 22:21

I’m starving now Grin Nothing new to add but SO glad other posters also love pasta / hotdog / cheese combos. I’ve found my people!

CanIhavedessertfirst · 18/02/2018 22:40

@overnightangel my sister used to call it 'the pregnancy salad' but pregnancy is not even an excuse, as this was long before I had kids. I had a love affair with branston pickle back then - it went on everything! Sometimes I'd even just have it on it's own on white bread. I realise I'm disgusting Confused

OhBeggerItsMorning · 18/02/2018 22:45

Smash instant potato sandwich on white bread with salt on. Has to be made when the 'potato' is still hot enough to melt the butter on the bread so I have a buttery layer between it and the bread. This does not taste anywhere near as good using boiled, mashed potatoes.

Even better is mixing some (cooked) frozen garden peas in with the Smash (don't like tinned peas). Mmmm, smash and pea sandwich.

Haven't had one in many years, will have to go out and buy some instant potato tomorrow and relive my mis-spent youth.

BexleyRae · 18/02/2018 22:46

Birdseye southern fried chicken portion, boiled new potatoes covered in mayonnaise white they are still hot and a chopped up raw pepper. I haven't had it since DP moved in

BexleyRae · 18/02/2018 22:47

Oh and just remembered peanut butter and salt and vinegar crisp sandwiches

demirose87 · 18/02/2018 22:49

I used to love the microwave kebabs from Iceland. They did southern fried microwave chicken nuggets too ans they were so yummy and greasy.

Loonoon · 18/02/2018 22:58

When DC were little DH and I were a tag team. He worked weekdays whilst I stayed home with the DC and I worked weekends whilst he was in charge in the home. When I was at home they had healthy meals cooked from scratch with lots of fresh fruit and veg. When DH was the boss his specilality was a 'peanut butter surprise ' A peanut butter and butter sandwich on white bread with a layer of pringles. They loved it and still speak fondly of it.

NotWeavingButDarning · 18/02/2018 23:01

Tater tots with vegan chili and melted cheese 😳. It's gross but sooo yum.
