Like... one you make when you really can't be bothered or one you have and feel ashamed to eat and would never eat in front of anyone?

Mine is a baked potato, drowned in butter and cheese.... with Princes tinned minced beef and onions on top Blush

I know why... there used to be (still is actually) And baked potato stall in the little town I grew up in and I used to have this every Saturday whilst my mum did the shopping.

However when I make it, even I look at it and think "this is so gross" And DP always looks at me like Confused ... it is delicious though. Would never tell anybody that's what I had for my tea tonight nor woukd I ever ever ever eat tinned mince on anything else (I think i would be sick)

Fufu and Egusi soup Grin

fishybits · 18/02/2018 21:10

3 minutes noodles with Hellmans mayonnaise, tinned sweetcorn and tinned tuna.

Honkyzeke · 18/02/2018 21:11

Mushy pea sandwich - white bread lots of butter, warm mushy peas with a dash of salt and vinegar.

MuncheysMummy · 18/02/2018 21:11

In my defence I made home made from scratch lasagne and garlic bread for 9 yesterday including MIL so thought I deserved an easy cooking day!

Hohofortherobbers · 18/02/2018 21:12

Lasagwich? Why have I never thought of this before?! Do you heat the leftover or just turf it straight out of the fridge into the bread?

PurpleCrowbar · 18/02/2018 21:13

Student ketchup carbonara.

Cook & drain pasta. Return to hot pan with a beaten egg, a couple of Laughing Cow triangles & stir over heat till grainy with eggy cheesiness. Pour over a liberal quantity of ketchup (HP fruity sauce instead makes it even dirtier).

PersonAtHome · 18/02/2018 21:14

Lime pickle mixed with mayonnaise, slathered over slices of cheddar cheese. Eaten standing at the kitchen counter cutting the slices of cheese straight from the packet.

When I was a teenager my go to comfort thing was to go into M&S and buy a pot of double cream, then stand outside the shop and drink it. Yuk!

UpstartCrow · 18/02/2018 21:14

Grated cheese melted into tomato soup. It isnt a meal unless you add frankfurters.

QuilliamCakespeare · 18/02/2018 21:17

You lot are animals but for some reason this thread just made my stomach rumble Blush

Mine is pasta, mayo, tinned tuna, and loads of grated cheese. Not massively gross in the scheme of things but the quantities in which I consume it are!

UpstartCrow · 18/02/2018 21:18

We should turn this thread into a cook book. The WI are always doing cookbooks and calendars and things. We can't be outdone by the WI.

Pettyspaghetti · 18/02/2018 21:18

A glazed doughnut (preferably Krispy Kreme), with a beef burger patty and cheese inside it Blush the doughnut acts as the “bun”. Sounds absolutely revolting but it’s so good!

AtleastitsnotMonday · 18/02/2018 21:19

This thread reminds me of my favourite uni meal.
Pasta, baked beans and crumbled sage and onion stuffing balls with grated cheese and Worcester sauce

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 18/02/2018 21:19

Marmite pasta is a particular favourite - boil the spaghetti, drain and then stir in some butter which has been mixed with marmite - the marmite butter melts and coats the spaghetti. Heaven.

I also like the cheese and broccoli pasta in sauce, and a hot cross bun with thick butter and Wensleydale. DH is partial to the Bernard Matthews mini kievs, or those mini sausage rolls you get in the freezer cabinet hot from the oven with ketchup.

64BooLane · 18/02/2018 21:20

A bowl of baked beans, sweetcorn and pickled onions all smothered (Like gravy.) with salad cream. Sometimes just baked beans with the salad cream and mint sauce.

Shock What have I just read?

RealityHasALiberalBias · 18/02/2018 21:21

Cake batter. That is all.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 18/02/2018 21:21

Oh and how could I forget the lunch of champions - Mr Brains faggots, gravy and tinned mushy peas (chip shop style) in a batch. Mmmm.

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 18/02/2018 21:22

Supernoodle Surprise
Packet of supernoodle with a tin of tomato mackerel. And the surprise? Grated cheese on top.
Bloody delicious. I discovered this when I started going out with DP 16 years ago. Wish I’d known it sooner as it would have been my university staple meal.
And it’s not gross either!

Loonoon · 18/02/2018 21:22

Aunt `Bessie's frozen mash potato with extra butter, grated cheddar, scallions and hot sauce. If I am feeling posh or healthy I might stir in frozen peas and/or sweetcorn and top with a poached egg.

DaysofWineandNeurosis · 18/02/2018 21:24

Chicken kiev sandwiches. Not the nice kievs with chicken breast, the chopped abominations. Well buttered large slice of bread. Dump the kiev on top. Split into two halves, pour over any garlic butter that escaped into the cooking tray. Top with another slice of bread. Cut into two and eat.

A more recent one since I've been low carbing is to nuke a pack of Tesco frozen cauliflower rice and a pack of mixed veg. Fry off a bit of chopped onion and some cut up hot dogs, add the veg and 'rice', season and eat, straight from the pan.

ilovekitkats · 18/02/2018 21:27

Roast potatoes, gravy, fish fingers and mint sauce ! Yummy! Used to have this when mum cooked lamb as I hated lamb.

WhoWants2Know · 18/02/2018 21:27

Super noodles cooked in tomato soup instead of water. (chuck the flavour packet in the bin). Melt some cheese on top if you feel fancy.

littlegecko · 18/02/2018 21:29

Pasta or supernoodles with sliced hotdog sausages and grated cheese on top.

Shop Value brand salted tortilla chips with grated melted cheese on top

Rice and tinned meatballs

HainaultViaNewburyPark · 18/02/2018 21:30

Fried egg sandwich. With toasted white bread, Wensleydale cheese and chutney. Mmmmmm.

LadyGAgain · 18/02/2018 21:30

McDonald's vanilla milkshake with salty French fries dipped in. Sometimes with BBQ sauce. And this has been since childhood so not a pregnancy thing. Yum!

Delilah37 · 18/02/2018 21:31

Picked gerkin and sun dried tomatoes wrapped in chorizo - an oily vinegary mess!
