To ask how tall you are?

I'm 5'10 (and a half even) and everywhere I go I feel freakishly tall compared to other women around me.

It's alright though, really!

How tall are you? Do you like being your particular height?

OP posts:
EsmeWeatherwax · 11/02/2018 14:45

6ft. Love it. All my friends are under 5'5 though, I feel like their mum occasionally. DH is 6'5 though. My dc's are going to be soooo tall....

Hofty · 11/02/2018 14:47

I'm 5'7. I frequently wish I was shorter. I often feel oversized compared to other women.
DH is 6'1. BIL is 6'7 Shock

YerAWizardHarry · 11/02/2018 14:48

5ft5 and a half

WeirdCatLady · 11/02/2018 14:48

I’m 5’7 but dd is 5’10.5 too. We’ve always made a great deal of fuss over how fabulous being tall is. She loves it.

I always wanted to either be shorter, so people felt protective of me Blush or taller so I was statuesque. 5’7 is technically taller than average but feels very ‘middle of the road’ to me.

Plus, I’m now the shortest person in the household Sad

FittonTower · 11/02/2018 14:48

6ft. It's awesome.
Also, it's hug-a-tall-person day today apparently. Go forth and be hugged

PickleSarnie · 11/02/2018 14:48

5'9"

Although I think I might be shrinking because measured myself the other day and I was 5'8.5" ! Obvs I stick to 5'9" for calculating of BMI!

Jaygee61 · 11/02/2018 14:49

5ft 1.5in. Hate it. Feel like a dwarf.

Floralnomad · 11/02/2018 14:50

5’8” and very happy with it .

GinUser · 11/02/2018 14:50

165cm

PigsInBaskets · 11/02/2018 14:50

I'm 160cm so about 5 foot 2 and a half, I think ?

JacintaJones · 11/02/2018 14:51

5'8.

Perfect height.

PortiaCastis · 11/02/2018 14:51

5ft8.5 and dd is 5ft9.5

loobywench · 11/02/2018 14:53

I'm 6ft and have been since I was 13. Hated it at school but love it now!

TealStar · 11/02/2018 14:53

Just under 5’9. Would be very happy to be another inch taller (so long as it goes on my leg length!)

Nomad86 · 11/02/2018 14:53

6ft. I hate it. I'm disproportionately tall in my legs so it's very difficult to find trousers. My circulation is so poor I suffer debilitating cramps. And I still get people asking what the weather is like up here!

stitchglitched · 11/02/2018 14:53

I'm 5'1 although recently the scales in Boots said 5'0.5. My 9 year old is now the same height as me, with bigger feet! I always liked my size pre kids when I was very slim and I could buy children's clothes, I've gained quite alot of weight in the past few years though and my shortness makes me look even worse. Trying to slim down and then I'll be happy again!

EfficiencyDeficiency · 11/02/2018 14:54

5ft 5, been the same since I was 10/11.

I have a brother who is 6ft 6.

I like my height but wish I had longer legs Grin

AthenaAshton · 11/02/2018 14:55

5 foot. I can't reach things on shelves, and can't see at concerts. Otherwise I never notice it.

OakIsBetterTho · 11/02/2018 14:56

5'8. It's alright, suits me just fine. I'm a little out of proportion tho, long torso and short legs annoyingly.

FaFoutis · 11/02/2018 14:57

I'm the same height as you OP. I mostly feel freakishly tall too, unless with young people where I am medium. It's quite nice not standing over people for a change.

sportyfool · 11/02/2018 14:57

5 foot ... doesn't bother me except id quite like to be thinner 🤷‍♀️

imonaplane · 11/02/2018 14:57

I'm 5' 3". I hate being short. My husband and children are all over 6ft.

BalloonDinosaur · 11/02/2018 14:58

5"3 ish.
Can never see at gigs.
My 13yr old nephew towers over me.
DS (1yo) is almost the same height.

Charismam · 11/02/2018 14:58

I predict this thread will be weighted towards answers from taller posters. who is going to log on to say ''i'm 5'2'' and then have to read that legions of posters consider 5'5'' ''short''.

These threads always shock me.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 11/02/2018 14:58

5'7 & quite leggy, it's a good height I feel-I am taller than most of my friends though.
