To ask how tall you are?

I'm 5'10 (and a half even) and everywhere I go I feel freakishly tall compared to other women around me.

It's alright though, really!

How tall are you? Do you like being your particular height?

I'm 5ft2 when I asked my ex to guess how tall I was he said 5ft 10! I was very shocked because that's extremely tall for a woman. He then said ok "5ft6 atleast"...Confused

whoareyoukidding · 11/02/2018 14:59

5'5 and I've never really given it much thought. I suppose if I were another 2 - 3 inches taller then clothes would look better on me.

ftmtb · 11/02/2018 14:59

5'0, I love being little!

expertonnothing · 11/02/2018 14:59

I'm 5,1" and I love it.

I wouldn't like to be tall

sportyfool · 11/02/2018 15:00

It's funny because although I know I'm short I don't ever particularly feel short even though most of my friends are 5.6-6 foot ...dh is 6.1 and children are taller than me .
People always mistake me for much younger and I think it's partly because of my height .

ftmtb · 11/02/2018 15:00

@BalloonDinosaur your one year old is nearly 5'3? Confused

Aquamarine1029 · 11/02/2018 15:00

6ft. Absolutely love it and always have.

UserDeleted · 11/02/2018 15:01

I'm 4' 11" and I like it.

Given a choice I'd be very tall - 5' 10" or thereabouts but being very small is a close second. I like it more than being an average height.

Not that I know what being an average height is like but it's not very interesting is it? Grin

Dancingfairy · 11/02/2018 15:01

I wouldn't like to be tall either so when I was told 5ft 10 I wasn't impressed!

Bloodybridget · 11/02/2018 15:02

5ft 3, I used to be 5ft 5.5! Am shocked to have lost so much and I really notice having to stretch up to reach things at home.

NaughtyNoraTheNamechanger · 11/02/2018 15:02

Wow so there's a huge variation.

My mum is 5'6.5, my dad is 6'3 and my 2 older sisters are both shorter than I am... It must be genetic this!!

Thank you for sharing everyone, it's really interesting!!

5’7 and although not really that tall people seem to think I’m taller because my legs are so long, short body though.

NaughtyNoraTheNamechanger · 11/02/2018 15:04

Message oh wow x post, hang on need to catch up!!

5ft 8. Only just started to like my height and I just turned 30.

rainbowruthie · 11/02/2018 15:05

5' 2 and perfectly happy with that Smile

NewYearNiki · 11/02/2018 15:05

5ft4

HolidayHelpPlease · 11/02/2018 15:05

5’4. I hate it. My growth was stunted by medication I took as a child and my projected growth was 5’8, so my hips/waist/boobs don’t look even slightly proportional to my height. Le sigh.

ScreamingValenta · 11/02/2018 15:07

5'4

OakIsBetterTho · 11/02/2018 15:07

I only ever feel out of place around my DPs family. His SIL is 4'11, his mum is 5'1, his auntie is 5'2 and his nan is 5'0. I feel like a giant person at 5'8 Grin

confusednotcom2 · 11/02/2018 15:08

Just slightly under 5ft 9 but would like to be 5ft 10.

Most of my friends are tall & i’ve noticed the ones who are uncomfortable with it were very tall as children & stood out. I was average height until high school so not much of an issue.

LastNightMyWifeHooveredMyHead · 11/02/2018 15:09

I'm 5'9" but I wish I was taller

Sharkofdestruction · 11/02/2018 15:09

167cm, perfect height for me Grin

InsomniacAnonymous · 11/02/2018 15:10

I used to be 5'7" but now I'm 5'6", so very average, which suits me fine.

AnotherPlaceAnotherTime · 11/02/2018 15:12

I’m 185cm. I’ve always felt like a great lump of a person and would love to be smaller sometimes.

Nacknick · 11/02/2018 15:12

5ft 1in in reality, about 5ft 7in in my head. I'm often surprised when I stand next to taller people as my head really doesn't think I'm little.

I like being small though- great for airplane seats etc 😁
