I see your period cramps and wind.... and raise you a herniated spinal disc... now this is agonising :(

pieceofpurplesky · 02/02/2018 07:44

I just stood on Lego. That's painful.

Youvegotafriendinme · 02/02/2018 07:45

Sepsis. Now that was pretty fucking unbearable

Well.....
I'm in the middle of a miscarriage, I twisted my back yesterday AND a sheep butted my little finger against a gate Shock

So I'm in a while world of pain right now!

RingFence · 02/02/2018 07:47

Back to back labour. It was like period/endometriosis pain but 100x worse!

nextDayDelivery · 02/02/2018 07:49

You've never stood on Lego then? Or chopped chilies and then gone for a pee?

liz70 · 02/02/2018 07:50

I once woke up with a - thankfully temporary - bout of exruciating arthritic pain in both my wrists. It honestly felt like I had broken them, in fact the pain was worse than when I did actually break my ankle. Even tearing off some tollet paper from the roll, or pressing a light switch was agonising. I had tests for RA markers but all clear; GP reckoned it was a one off virus related episode. It made me think how awful it must be for people who suffer RA all the time. Sad

LuckyAmy1986 · 02/02/2018 07:55

I should have put lighthearted! Sorry for everyone’s pain they have beefy through or are currently going through.

LuckyAmy1986 · 02/02/2018 07:56

Been not beefy! This reminds me of the start of contractions I’m having to breathe through the sharp pains lol

Trapped wind at any time is hell!

Most painful for me though, swollen kidney and trying to lie completely still on my back while I had that swollen kidney for half an hour for a scan - couldn't do it, had to give up on the scan.

Appuskidu · 02/02/2018 07:57

Nothing worse than a finger cut imo Grin.

I went on a first aid course recently and the lady doing it said the three most painful naturally occurring medical things are childbirth, gall stones and heart attack.

I suspect toothache is pretty high as well.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 02/02/2018 07:58

Is such period pain a regular occurrence?. If it is then you need to see a gynaecologist. Endometriosis is a common cause of ongoing and or otherwise severe period pain.

liz70 · 02/02/2018 07:58

Oh, and PGP in the 2nd trimester of my third pregnancy. Again, how could I be in so much pain without breaking a bone? Had to walk on crutches and haul myself up and down stairs on my bum for a time. Thankfully I managed to realign things by starting to sleep with a pillow between my knees and being incredibly careful to not twist and turn when rising from a seat. That made the pain retreat miraculously. It reoccurred once or twice in the next years, resulting in excruciating sciatic like pain all down my left buttock and thigh, same as in pregnancy. It was completely crippling. Thankfully, nothing recently though. Flowers to all those out there who suffer chronic pain - it must be horrible.

LuckyAmy1986 · 02/02/2018 08:01

Atilla - pre dc I never suffered with period pain. But since my last my period pains are so so intense I have to hold onto something and count through it. Honestly feels like a contraction! Assume it’s just something that changed after childbirth.

Gastritis!!!!
It's the worst pain, way over having my DD!

TossDaily · 02/02/2018 08:04

Wrenched nerves in my shoulder. I had to walk around for three weeks with my arm up
in the air like a human dodgem car.

Perineal abscess on the point of bursting. I was begging XH to shoot me.

Trapped wind in my shoulder after a c-section, coupled with afterpains, scar and latching on issues. Not the most fun I've ever had.

Hope you're feeling better soon OP Flowers

"I suspect toothache is pretty high as well."

I had a dying molar tooth once. The pain was absolutely miserable. Round the clock pain killers barely kept it at bay. I could have married my dentist after he'd cut into my gum, hacked the wee bastard to pieces and got it out. So much relief.

MoralBeryl · 02/02/2018 08:06

Interstitial cystitis. The constant feeling of being desperate for a wee.

Thankfully under control now and having children actually helped. The pain of 2 labours was worth it for that alone!

I keep meaning to find somewhere to post my ultimately positive experience, because I thought my life was ruined back then.

vampirethriller · 02/02/2018 08:08

I used to have period pains like that. You have all my sympathy.
septicemia in my face was by far the worst thing.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 02/02/2018 08:09

Oh yeah I needed a root canal once and that was definitely more painful than childbirth or MCs!

DeadButDelicious · 02/02/2018 08:10

Hydronephrosis (Renal Colic). I suffered terribly with this toward the end of my last pregnancy. Never felt pain like it.

LizzieSiddal · 02/02/2018 08:12

I had a palate cut right between my fingers. It was bloody painful, I nearly cried 😂

Seriously though, back to back labour made me cry very much.

Natsku · 02/02/2018 08:12

That's what I had DeadButDelicious when pregnant with DD, absolutely horrible isn't it? I was in hospital for 3 weeks having all the painkillers they could throw at me and was still begging the doctors to kill me.

LizzieSiddal · 02/02/2018 08:12
