Earache as a child - all these years later and I can remember how agonising it was.

Tooth abscess - wanted to cut my head off...literally.

Torn meniscus - sat up in bed with tears running down my face it hurt so much

Gallstones - those little buggars are pure hell and the surgery isn't much fun either.

I'm really pleased this thread has gone down the supportive oneupmanship route rather than the possible snooty your pain can't possibly be as bad as my real pain... route. Flowers to everyone on this thread.

Mine would be 7 days post c-section with sepsis and the most God awful shooting pains up my are caused by the antibiotics. Fortunately DD2's tongue tie had been cut the day before so the nipple pain was subsiding but no word of a lie I couldn't physically sit down for a week till the course finished. Breastfeeding a newborn and parenting a toddler whilst in agony was particularly painful. The GP I saw about the arse pains was a super star (who is the only person to have ever stuck their finger up my bottom Grin) and I wrote her a letter to that effect.

Ikanon · 03/02/2018 21:01

Lol. That she was a super star not a letter saying she was the only person to stick their finger up my bum Grin Grin

iMogster · 03/02/2018 21:03

Agreed Ikanon. It's good to share and not feel the only one. No oneupmanship, just real stories and a bit of lighthearted jokes thrown in too.

MissOrganisedMe · 03/02/2018 21:14

A full on bite to the nipple from a breastfeeding baby in the middle of the night 😢

labazs · 03/02/2018 21:18

migraine until you have it is terrible i hate folk who say oh yes a headache nope its like head exploding i even ended up on morphine
added to that interstitial cystitis its hell on earth ordinary uti is bad enough but that is a killer
gall stones
lumbar puncture by a student with no anesthetic
wisdom tooth removal

smilingontheinside · 03/02/2018 22:32

Oh no becca3 my dd is due a double jaw surgery on next couple months Sad

turophile · 03/02/2018 22:39

Luckily I've never had anything major wrong with me so I don't think I've ever experienced severe pain. Mine would be:

Migraines
Stubbing your toe
Having a Hollywood wax

crispinquent · 03/02/2018 22:44

Csection postop pain after morphine wore off and b4 i realized heavy inuprofen wouldnt b enuf and took the first percocet (or whichever heavy painkilker they offered)

mspeef · 03/02/2018 22:53

Having my tonsils removed. Being forced to eat before leaving hospital. As I have dietary restrictions, the only thing they could find that I could eat were salt and vinegar crisps!

ConfusedMumHere · 03/02/2018 22:55

Migraine Sad

DorisDangleberry · 03/02/2018 23:04

I once accidentally chopped my foot off with a chain saw. That hurt a bit. But not as much as when I had piles.

SecretDisneyAddict · 03/02/2018 23:07

Gall stones

I vom from horrendous period pain every month.
I had a back to back 4 day labour with numerous failed epidurals.
I get migraines and cluster headaches.

But gall stone attacks win hands down.

silver2011 · 04/02/2018 00:28

Worst pain ever slipped disc with crippling pain in pelvic and shooting pain like electric shock down leg OMG never forget that pain

labazs · 04/02/2018 07:19

quite agree with gall stones first time i had an attack thought i was dying took 5 attacks before i could have them removed awful

LaurieF · 04/02/2018 09:23

@DorisDangleberry

Accidentally chopping your own foot off!!! Shock Shock Shock

cowshindtail · 04/02/2018 10:01

Only other pain that came close to being bitten by a sheep(the molars not the incisors which resulted in that nail being concave for many years)was having my thigh muscle crushed by a cow.

Blizy · 04/02/2018 10:10

For me it's gallstones and endometriosis, both attacks at once!

GeorgeTheHamster · 04/02/2018 10:13

OP have you tried windeze? It's expensive but quite effective. Not for the period cramps, obv.

BunsyGirl · 04/02/2018 10:30

Gallstones. Absolutely awful. Labour was a breeze in comparison. Midwife with DS2 though I was nuts because I had no pain relief whatsoever despite being on the drip cranked up to the max. She said no one does that. It really did not hurt at all compared to gall bladder pain.

pollymere · 04/02/2018 12:28

Large cyst on ovary, compacted poo post pregnancy (like being in labour but far more painful), having a vomiting bug whilst having my period, breaking my foot in three places and being told not to make a fuss as it wasn't broken (The consultant realised and called me urgently to have it put in plaster).

AirandMungBeans · 04/02/2018 14:20

For me it was the pain after my spinal fusion and rib removal surgeries. Horrendous, labour and my c sections were a walk in the park compared to that.
