I thought my period pain was the worst, and I’m talking so doubled over with pain, the first day off every month, hot water bottle and too much solpedine, just to try and take the edge off.. until my recent shingles. I've whinged elsewhere, so won't go into detail, but aagh.

BashStreetKid · 02/02/2018 08:17

Perineal abscess on the point of bursting. I was begging XH to shoot me.

There are some people over in Sporners' Corner who would love to hear more about this.

TossDaily · 02/02/2018 08:21

BashStreetKid no dramatic fountains happened I'm afraid.

Just a gentle crack and seep. Oh sweet relief.

Makeitso · 02/02/2018 08:25

OP I would go my GP if I was you. There's no need to put up with period pain like that. It's typical of a woman though (and me included) to just put up with pain because it may have been caused by childbirth.

If the pain was in your head or leg you would get it sorted.

Have lots of Brewand Cake. I hope it gets better soon.

Mrsmadevans · 02/02/2018 08:29

Both of my labours back to back . Nothing eased the pain. Absolute agony.

tiredpom · 02/02/2018 08:31

Snapping a bone while running ... then taking 3 days to go to A&E, while a house full of medics told me ... it's ligaments don't bother them. (Apart from the fact you could actually see the break through my skin - 🤢)

juddyrockingcloggs · 02/02/2018 08:33

The worst pain I have ever had was last January with a tooth. I still can't believe how much that hurt! I cried like a baby!

Scribblegirl · 02/02/2018 08:35

I once had cystitis, diarrhoea and my period at the same time. That was a really bad week...

KeemaNaan · 02/02/2018 08:37

Open haemorrhoidectomy on grade 5 haemorrhoids.

I thought that childbirth was painful he undignified. I thought being knocked down was painful. I was wrong.

Imagine the pain of childbirth every time you need the loo, but no pain relief and it lasts for weeks and weeks and in between you are in constant pain. In between. Pain so bad you throw up or pass out.

Just. Oh my god.

OuchBollocks · 02/02/2018 08:40

Trying to get my threenager to cooperate with anything at all since I went back to work is pretty fucking painful Hmm

Fluffyears · 02/02/2018 08:43

Ooft bad period pain is the worst. I used to throw up and pass out it was so bad. My (male) gp thoughtnineas a drama queen. He finally agreed to the pill when I threatened to top myself if he didn’t help. He kept prescribing pain killers that were fuck all use when I was throwing them back up every half hour. Thankfully in later years it’s not as bad but still not great.

mypoosmellsofroses · 02/02/2018 08:43

Frozen shoulder, worst ever pain for me, 2 years of round the clock low grade pain and then the "zingers" if I jarred it at all, couple of times I just buckled to the floor and went blind with the pain.

DH got used to it and knew to just give me his hand to squeeze (and didn't turn a hair while I swore like a trooper) but if it happened away from home I got some very funny looks!

BuckingFrolicks2 · 02/02/2018 08:44

Have you farted yet OP?!

Pearlsaringer · 02/02/2018 08:44

Undiagnosed breech delivery here with failed epidural. Little sod. She tells me this was her first ironic comment on the world!

Pearlsaringer · 02/02/2018 08:45

Arriving arse first, I should say

JAME0 · 02/02/2018 08:47

Latching on baby with bleeding, damaged nipples 😭😵😱

Ollivander84 · 02/02/2018 08:47

I'm with Go. Herniated disc crushing my nerves. A&E were slightly surprised by my "cut my leg off now" request until the MRI came back and then they gave me lots of morphine which still didn't work

endofthelinefinally · 02/02/2018 08:48

LuckyAmy
Lie on your tummy on a hot water bottle. It really helps to shift the gas.

apostropheuse · 02/02/2018 08:53

A paper cut is the worst! Grin

Well, maybe it's not quite as sore as having a large episiotomy, following emergency forceps for foetal distress, repaired without sufficient local anaesthetic.

Well, it was my first baby and I didn't know I shouldn't feel sharp pain with every stitch!

Mulberry72 · 02/02/2018 08:57

Arthritis pain in my hands, wrists, knees, hips, shoulders etc.

I feel like I’ve been thrown off a cliff. Daily. Morphine barely touches it.

Fuck you Arthur.

LuckyAmy1986 · 02/02/2018 08:57

Thank you yes I have managed to pass some wind now which is helping but bloody hurts! I think I
Will go to the gp see if I can sort something as it’s like this every month.

Some horrific tales on here and I’m sorry for all everyone has been through. Here’s to happier, pain free days!

mumpoints · 02/02/2018 08:59

Shingles for me. Close second toothache in the jungle. (Long story!)

mumpoints · 02/02/2018 08:59

Peppermint tea OP!

LuckyAmy1986 · 02/02/2018 08:59

Apostrophe that happened to me too! I could feel them stitching me up after my episiotomy aarrggghhh! Even worse the light broke so my DH had to hold his iPhone torch up to it so the doctor could see what she was doing.

I have cluster headaches, I've had gallstones, given birth, broken bones, had something painful and funky happen to my heart (heart rate went really weird and felt like it had seized up they never found a cause), I have arthritis and fibromyalgia, I've had frozen shoulders and severe sciatica and I've got IBS

Out of all of that gallstones wins hands down.
