.. severe period pains coupled with chronic trapped wind. I mean I’m sure there is but this is what I have right now and OMFG

Losing your baby, then having your partner refuse to try again - more emotional pain than physical. But that is by far the most painful thing I have ever experienced - it is a life sentence of unrelenting pain.

Pearlsaringer · 02/02/2018 16:02

ratheroverwhelmed that is so sad, I hope things change for you Flowers

theunsure · 02/02/2018 16:04

Dislocated patella, that is dislocated for a long time resulting in cramp.
Trust me that cramp in a dislocated limb is horrific. I drained the ambulance of all of its gas and air and they had to meet another ambulance for more supplies.

I was told by the nurse that in comparison childbirth would be a breeze. I am not sure I want to find that out....

exWifebeginsat40 · 02/02/2018 16:46

arthritis in my neck, wrists, hands, fingers, hips, knees and feet. i’m only 44.

i once ripped a finger and a half off after getting my hand impaled on a fence. i’d been climbing over (don’t ask) and slipped. my hand was impaled and my feet weren’t touching the floor. my brain said ‘fuck this’ and sort of checked out for a bit when i wrenched my hand down and my finger plopped off. didn’t hurt at the time, but by fucking christ it did after surgery.

i still maintain that nothing compares to sticking a mascara brush in your eye.

exWifebeginsat40 · 02/02/2018 16:47

oh. and attempted bone marrow biopsy with no anaesthetic. you could see my claw marks in the ceiling.

LastOneDancing · 02/02/2018 16:50

I came on to say 'watching my Mum trying to send a text' but I have clearly misjudged the thread!!

Flowers to those in pain. Especially the really sad ones x

TammySwansonTwo · 02/02/2018 17:45

Get yourself do the doctor, my lovely. Severe period pain isn't normal. I have endometriosis and have suffered from agonising pelvic pain for decades, it's no joke.

I also had gallstones, a severely infected gallbladder and pancreatitis. That was awful. Oh, and my botched spinal for emcs - seven bloody attempts.

But all that pales into comparison with the time I almost amputated my arm with a bathroom sink (hello to anyone who knows me Grin)

possumgoddess · 02/02/2018 17:55

Anal fissure. MUCH worse than gastritis - I have had gastritis. I have also had children - worse than childbirth. And toothache - on a par but at least toothache goes away in the end. I had months and months of being unable to walk more than about ten steps, unable to stand for any length of time, being in constant pain even when sitting 'comfortably' and all while taking huge doses of opiates that made me nauseous all the time. And don't get me started on the pain of having a poo........ All fixed by a little injection of botox under anaesthetic - my surgeon is my hero!

Maddiemademe · 02/02/2018 18:24

Without a doubt back to back labour coupled with placental abruption. I would have happily thrown myself in front of a car to try stop the pain by ending it. But stepping on lego is a close second Grin

CheshireChat · 02/02/2018 18:28

Whilst British plugs are built for pain and Lego is a nightmare, nothing fucking compares to fucking Magic Tracks as it's a bit like lego, but razor blade sharp Hmm. DS bloody loves it as well so I can't bin it.

I had a nice, deep cut in my foot for over a month.

This thread makes me quite grateful I get symptomless UTIs and cystitis Shock, but worst to bear for me was an ear infection where I had something like a spot inside. Ouch and so hard to bear because everything hurts so you can't even distract yourself by doing something else.

fleaflyflo · 02/02/2018 18:29

Smashed wrist - couldn't see straight for pain

CheshireChat · 02/02/2018 18:30

TammySwansonTwo I want to know how you can nearly amputate your arm with a sink?!

Can also confirm that European style plugs aren't nearly as bad, but you end up with a damaged plug. Prefer British ones.

Mrsmadevans · 02/02/2018 18:32

Mind you I am thinking about this and constipation is up there with the best.

Kursk · 02/02/2018 18:34

Hitting my shin on the tow bar of the car!

goose1964 · 02/02/2018 18:34

Bursitis, gallbladder pain and I'll raise you whatever the fuck I did to my elbow before Christmas,. Pain off the chart

P

Welshmaenad · 02/02/2018 18:36

Necrotising fasciitis in your breast. It's pretty notawesome.

gabsdot · 02/02/2018 18:39

When I was 15 I tripped over a garden fork and one of the prongs went under my big toe nail and lifted it off.
I tell you that was pretty painful

juddyrockingcloggs · 02/02/2018 19:24

Hitting my shin on the tow bar of the car!

Oh god yes! I do it every single time!

Rebeccaslicker · 02/02/2018 19:25

Standing on a bra hook. Seriously. Never known pain like it - a sweep, failed induction and c section had nothing on that. They dig right into the nerves in your feet. I was limping for weeks!

Rebeccaslicker · 02/02/2018 19:25

Oh and also calf muscle cramps in the middle of the night. Short lived but actual screaming agony whilst they last!

TrinitySquirrel · 02/02/2018 19:34

@bindibot the large amount of pain after is the phrenic nerve irritated by the gas used to inflate your insides for surgery. It is not 'trapped wind' Hmm The gas doesn't enter your system at all.

livinginhope87 · 02/02/2018 19:38

Meningitis
Glandular fever
Shingles

In that order!

TrinitySquirrel · 02/02/2018 19:41

And buscopan does feck all if you have a trapped stone. If your bile duct is spasming it can help somewhat but if you have a stone stuck you're just making the situation worse.

10mg IV morphine is the only thing that takes the pain away and Oral morphine should NEVER be given to someone with gallstones as it triggers spasming of the billiary tract.

MsJudgemental · 02/02/2018 19:43

Getting a mirena coil changed.

QforCucumber · 02/02/2018 19:45

Broken elbow! I'd birth again every bloody day instead of that.
