Oh yes I’ve heard peppermint tea is good for wind. I’ll add to shopping list!

Full stage labour. Earache can be excruciating. Although bad toothache with anything infected is just as bad. I had a severe deep infection and absess from a cracked tooth and I genuinely wanted to die. Sympathise with the period pain OP it’s awful!

Laiste · 02/02/2018 09:02

I've had four back to back labors and sinusitis. Both at the same time at one point.

Individually they're unbearable - together .. i just wanted to die.

nomrjustlovejoy · 02/02/2018 09:06

Standing on a set of house keys isn't fun. Kneeling on Lego made me leap up again rather rapidly
Oh and long term SPD that isn't touched by opiates as I almost certainly have nerve damage as well does tend to hurt.

However the prize goes to pneumonia. Oh My God. Like being stabbed with hundreds of tiny little knives every time you breathe, move, talk....... well do anything other than lie totally still.

MachineBee · 02/02/2018 09:09

I have RA but shingles trumped even that in the pain stakes. And I only had round my middle. I have soooo much sympathy for the poor sods who get shingles in their eyes and face. Sad

Imverypleasedtomeetyou · 02/02/2018 09:18

8/9 months pregnant with a baby laying transverse. You can't sleep on your front, on your sides or on your back so you sleep upright in a chair and everytime you stand up the SPD is unbearable and causes sciatica.

The first few days after a caesarian if you miss your painkillers.

Imverypleasedtomeetyou · 02/02/2018 09:18

and migraines!! The absolute pits!

minniemummy0 · 02/02/2018 09:29

Everyone told me childbirth would be the worst pain ever. I had an infected tooth whilst pregnant, after three rounds of antibiotics they wouldn’t give more, poxy painkillers I could have didn’t touch it. Childbirth was a walk in the park in comparison (and it was hardly brilliant, failed epidural and second degree tear!)

ForgotwhatIcameinherefor · 02/02/2018 09:29

Same here, following back to back labouring with only gas and air (which I wasn’t using correctly) I felt the episiotomy before venteuse, then I felt every single shoulder/elbow/knee being dragged out, then I felt every single stitch. Lying Doctor kept saying “Just one more” as my mum watched on, telling me off for swearing.
However, KeemaNaan I am now petrified as I have been putting off going to see GP re haemorrhoids until I lose a chunk of weight... Sad

ReanimatedSGB · 02/02/2018 09:30

One particularly vile bout of toothache (tooth was due to be removed anyway and suddenly flared up).

Actually I think the worst thing I ever had was the last few seconds of giving birth to DS. It was like sitting on a fucking blowtorch.

BornInALighthouse · 02/02/2018 09:34

Toothache. Wandering around the house sobbing.

LucyAutumn · 02/02/2018 09:36

I tore a shoulder ligament and nerve, the pain was so bad I lost my voice from screaming within 10 minutes... Oh and I'd given birth the day before so the memory of that was pretty fresh but the shoulder was x10 worse.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere So sorry Flowers

SwarmOfCats · 02/02/2018 09:36

I have fibromyalgia, arthritis in my spine and chronic costochondritis, I’ve had three babies without pain relief...and still say a paper cut between the fingers is the worst pain ever.

Or that time I sliced through a lemon directly into my hand and they heard my swearing four streets over, a flock of crows took flight from a church tower and a paperboy fell off his bike as a result

barefoofdoctor · 02/02/2018 09:38

A trainee fucking up your lumbar puncture 7 times no numbing.

Bindibot · 02/02/2018 09:38

Never been in labour, but have had gallstones and a herniated disc.

Gallstones the first episode; DP called the OOH GP he was so worried; after giving me 10mg Diamorph, that did nothing, GP called an ambulance. A&E based threw meds at me till I was still in pain but too 'happy' to notice Grin.

Top tip for anyone having their gallbladder out; get out of bed as soon as possible after the op and drink lots of lemonade, the large % of the pain is trapped wind. So adding to it and moving does mean you shuffle along farting constantly, but it helps......

Herniated disc; referred to pain clinic eventually... put on major pain meds and he pushed for me to have surgery. POst op, on waking up I thought I was paralyzed as I wasn't in pain and I was actually ok with that, it took a good few minutes to realise that this was what not being in pain felt like......

Sallystyle · 02/02/2018 09:40

Dry sockets!

Sallystyle · 02/02/2018 09:41

I get trapped wind all the bloody time and it hurts like hell.

Onecutefox · 02/02/2018 09:44

Smashing a little toe into the door frame and giving birth. The latter should go first.

Ironfloor · 02/02/2018 09:46

Induced labour followed closely by toothache and earache.

maddiemookins16mum · 02/02/2018 09:47

Dry socket. Oh and a horrendous ear infection, I was close to gouging my ear out with a knife once.
Also, kneeling down on a small piece of that woodchip cat litter (who'd have thought!!).

Honeyishrunkthekids · 02/02/2018 09:50

I’ve had four births with no pain relief (one breech one back to back) burst appendix beat childbirth especially as they had to operate twice because of infection.I got blood poisoning it was the worst pain that went on for two days before they believed me and I ended up in icu with all the drugs .

CabinFeverShorts · 02/02/2018 09:52

Haemorrhoids. Omfg.

yawningyoni · 02/02/2018 09:52

Peritonitis

TeeBee · 02/02/2018 09:54

Burning your nipple whilst ironing naked. Not the actual injury itself, but having to wear a bra for the following week and pulling the skin off the blister every fucking time!

Having your broken hand reshaped without anaesthetic.

kateandme · 02/02/2018 09:55

massage your tummy in circular motion in circle starting from ribs and working downwards. then lie wth knees on one side.change body to the other direction.again try in thi position soft circular massaging down the belly.
clamp arms round your kneesslightly curled and rock both to side and back
downward dog and forward and back.
quick motion side to side with fingertips just under the rib cage, burp.
as it starts to ease very slowly warm tea or water.
sleep on your left under and so less chance of reflux from wind.
