I was just wondering how long you and/or your DP/DH/DW spend each day commuting to and from work if you don't work from home.

Also, how do you travel to get there?

Lemongincosy · 17/01/2018 07:10

Work from home 4 days a week and then 1 day i walk 10 mins to and from. Once a month I have a 2.5 hour car journey for monthly meeting but i hate the train / tube especially in rush hour so the long drive doesn't bother me.

Battleax · 17/01/2018 07:10

That's like one of those Maths problems 🤔

You spend 4 hours every day driving?

passthepotatoes · 17/01/2018 07:10

I'm going to be walking 40 mins to my new job and then 40 mins home but am considering a bike, but thinking 40 mins probably isn't too bad.

DH- 20-45 mins drive depending on the traffic.

agbnb · 17/01/2018 07:12

(obvs same in reverse)

Lemongincosy · 17/01/2018 07:12

@passthepotatoes i used to walk that far for work. I actually really liked it and cut down on my gym time. It was a good head clearing daily thing

VivaLeBeaver · 17/01/2018 07:12

A bike would halve your time but its not fun in wind or rain. But nice weather days go for it.

Battleax · 17/01/2018 07:12

Oh you mean opposite direction from home. I thought it involves sleepovers but somehow you walked at car speed Grin

Battleax · 17/01/2018 07:13

(Thanks for putting me out of my misery Smile)
