I can't be the only person who does this...

Help settle something for DH & me. DH is laughing at me again (before anyone jumps on accusing DH of emotionally abusing me - this is lighthearted!) because when I get out of the shower or bath I like to sit wrapped in my towel until I'm dry. I hate rubbing myself dry with a towel and would rather sit for 10mins until I dry naturally. DH thinks I am utterly odd for doing this and thinks that everyone else in the world Hmm dries themselves with a towel "the normal way".

Tell me I'm not alone in this!

Another lazy drier here! :)

Am I the only one that dries myself with a hairdryer after a shower?!

No, me too! For warmth as much as dryness. And helps to try roll-on deodorant.

Bookaboo · 31/12/2017 23:14

Dry not try!

Charell20 · 31/12/2017 23:14

I do this too. I hate the feeling of the towel on wrinkly fingers so sit until the wrinkles have gone....

nestletollhouse · 31/12/2017 23:16

Bit of both. Pat down some areas, dry between my toes. Towel around my hair.
Then air dry the rest. Sometimes use a hair dryer to dry my bum crack hate a wet crack

Iwanttobe8stoneagain · 31/12/2017 23:17

Even better if you wrap yourself in a towel then put dressing gown over the top

PurplePillowCase · 31/12/2017 23:40

I want one of those whole body air dryers like they have in theme parks

MiddleClassProblem · 31/12/2017 23:41

Lazy lounging drier here too! DH doesn’t get. DD does.

anonymousbird · 31/12/2017 23:46

I don't SIT and dry but I potter and dry wrapped in towel. Loads I can do for morning routine whilst I "wait" to dry!

Samlou87 · 31/12/2017 23:53

i do this wrap up in towel then lay on bed!! far too hot to do anything else (im one a them that likes the bath water to burn abit)

TwoDogs9 · 01/01/2018 01:16

I put on a towelling robe which dries me whilst I sort my hair out and moisturise my face etc. I never rub dry.

persianpeach · 01/01/2018 01:26

I have another AMAZING SECRET I put on a towelling robe and dry off that way until I need to get dressed or ready for bed!!
It’s a game changer I promise 😉😉😉

persianpeach · 01/01/2018 01:27

Just seen previous post 😂😂😂
Great minds...! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Carrie80 · 01/01/2018 01:41

I do the same

LucyLogan · 01/01/2018 01:54

I sit dry too and I get really annoyed if people come and talk to me during the process. It's my quiet time.

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 01/01/2018 02:02

I sit and dry in a towel, it’s one of life’s luxuries to take the time to be calm rather than rush.

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 01/01/2018 02:03

Having read about towelling robes I may need to go shopping!

YellowBucket · 01/01/2018 03:03

DH used to be amused by me doing similar. He now has his own towelling robe and can out lounge me.

On a much smaller scale to the one mentioned by Purple, we have a hot air drying unit in our wetroom. It was much anticipated and in constant use for about two weeks. It’s like the bathroom equivalent of a cupcake machine now - just too big to chuck in a cupboard though!

worrierandwine · 01/01/2018 05:16

Another towelling robe here! Best way to dry Smile

sashh · 01/01/2018 06:25

I have a toweling dressing gown used only after a bath - I put it on the radiator while in the bath so it is warm.

MsGameandWatching · 01/01/2018 06:41

I have a towelling bath robe. I put that on till I dry, warmer as more skin area covered.

JakeBallardswife · 01/01/2018 06:46

I’ve found my people, me too. Occasionally I dry my muff with a hairdryer tooGrin

BitOfFun · 01/01/2018 06:50

Does anybody remember the mumsnetter whose husband used to spend the best part of an hour drying himself with a hairdryer?

WunWun · 01/01/2018 07:59

Yes, I mentioned that up thread!
