Caked in makeup

Why do some women plaster it on like there's no tomorrow, on the school run, everyday without fail. Not just subtle but full on caked in the stuff. AIBU to think why?

YABU,why do you care?

SinglePringle · 16/12/2017 20:46

Because they like it.

Because they feel ‘better’ for it.

Because they couldn’t give a shiny shit what you or others think.

mercurymaze · 16/12/2017 20:47

God knows I don't get daytime false lashes either

Dozyoldtwonk · 16/12/2017 20:48

Because maybe makeup is their jam & they get pleasure from it. I’m the opposite - can never be arsed to do my makeup unless I’m going out out, and I don’t give a fuckity fuck who judges me for it.

You are 100% not being unreasonable to ponder.

The reasons are likely to be as numerous as the women you see.

Peronsally today I put a full face on including red lippy just because I felt like it. Tomorrow I will likely not bother with anything. I luxuriate it my freedom to choose

VladmirsPoutine · 16/12/2017 20:49

A wild guess perhaps, but maybe they just feel like it. Who knew!

So is not wearing make up ugly ?

Glumglowworm · 16/12/2017 20:51

I don’t wear make up except for very special occasions and even then it’s less than many women wear every day.

That’s my choice. And it’s their choice to wear lots of make up. Both equally valid choices.

flimp · 16/12/2017 20:52

because they like it?

MrsRonBurgundy · 16/12/2017 20:52

Because they want to? I can’t see how it could be difficult to come to that conclusion on your own

AdalindSchade · 16/12/2017 20:53

Because they are insecure and underconfident, I'm guessing.

cardibach · 16/12/2017 20:54

chiaseed that’s a truly obnoxious answer. Not wearing make up does not make any woman ‘ugly’. How dare you be so vile to another woman?

VladmirsPoutine · 16/12/2017 20:54

Because the rain in Spain?

Frequency · 16/12/2017 20:54

I don't really care if women wear makeup or not. I know some lovely people who never wear a scrap of make up and some lovely people who feel naked without their false lashes.

The sharpie brows need to stop though. They make me cringe more than the unblended contouring.

If you wanna do makeup, if it makes you feel good, go for it, but for the love of God, practise at home before you unleash yourself upon the unsuspecting public.

RestingGrinchFace · 16/12/2017 20:55

Who cares. I mean it looks a bit gross but you don't have to look if it makes you feel unwell.

justilou1 · 16/12/2017 20:58

Because Youtube told them to?

TriHard27 · 16/12/2017 20:59

The same women are probably wondering why you don't bother op.

People like to make the best of themselves in whatever ways that means to them.

AwkwardSquad · 16/12/2017 21:00

chiaseed ugly is as ugly does.

flimp · 16/12/2017 21:00

wow. what a horrible thread.

Huskylover1 · 16/12/2017 21:01

Personally, I think it's to cover up bad skin. But I'm sure that caking your face in foundation probably doesn't allow the skin to breathe, which contributes to the problem, so it's a vicious cycle.

I never wear foundation, but I'm lucky in that I have clear skin, so don't need to cover anything up.

They must get up very early, to put on a full face before the school run! I used to pull and hat and coat on, and that was it!

Ijustlovefood · 16/12/2017 21:01

I do wear makeup most days, I just don't cake it on really thick. I tend to do that more for a night out. If you always cake it on then you look no different for a night out. Anyway no biggie

Lightbulb gone in the bedroom? Who knows?

As long as no one does the 'you look tired' ' you need makeup' crap, who cares?

Tanfastic · 16/12/2017 21:04

I wear make up on the school run because I look shit without it...simples 😂

RunningOutOfCharge · 16/12/2017 21:04

'Caked'? What does that even mean?
