Taking inspiration from the other threat running.

My DH is very hard to buy for.

His hobby is mountain biking but he has some health issues At the moment which stop him from doing that.

He has recently gone on a much needed shopping spree and so has pretty much a new wardrobe.

He has just bought a new tv wit some inheritance.

He has an iPad and fancy headphones.

He doesn’t really do books.

He has a leather hold-all and wash bag I bought a few xmases ago.

I do not know what to buy!!!!!!!!

What are you buying for your other halves? Inspiration needed!!

We don't really buy anything for each other, perhaps some little things just to open in front of the children but if we want anything we go out and buy it!

Cagliostro · 25/11/2017 18:32

I haven't really got any big ideas this year. I'd like to get him the Harry Potter deck building game but it's pricy and hard to get, and I'm not sure if it'll be too complex for the kids so may not get played much

Definitely Harry Potter stuff, he has specifically asked for socks, maybe some of the books he likes (Benedict Jacka) and there are some DVD box sets he doesn't have like iron man.

I'd like to find a decent set of LOTR books too as his have fallen apart through overuse!

Also I decided today I'm definitely getting the GCHQ puzzle book

Cagliostro · 25/11/2017 18:32

Oh I do need to get some fentimans dandelion and burdock somehow, he tried it on holiday and loved it

InLoveWithLizML · 25/11/2017 18:35

For DC's Dad I've utilised Black Friday, got a watch that gives you loads of stats, the Adult Enid Blyton books, a burger maker which was a bargain yesterday. Oh an the Grand Tour book which also had £14 off.

That should be enough, especially since I know what I suggested for my present is never going to happen.

It's more so the children can go this is from us. Hopefully it looks like I've spent more than I have.

Marking place to read and steal ideas later 😄

mumof2sarah · 25/11/2017 19:01

@Cagliostro Morrisons/Asda/Tesco/Costco they all sell fentemans it's usually down with the pop or believe it or not near the juices and waters xx

Cagliostro · 25/11/2017 19:06

Oh fab thanks! I will have a look 😀

InLoveWithLizML · 25/11/2017 19:34

At the moment there's a watch that links with an app, was £80 now £23. DC have decided they need one for their sports too. It measures HR, BP, PulseOximetry, Sleep, Calories, Sports Calories, Steps, Running, so so much.

They also have 50% off Staedtler so pens are better than half price, felt tips, pencils, pencil crayons.

Bluetooth earphones for anyone with an iPhone 7 & above, between £15 & £25 which is really good.

They have dollshouses to be built half a metre high for £20 & furniture for £10.

InLoveWithLizML · 25/11/2017 19:35

If your hubby is stressed you could get them a colouring book for mindfulness & colouring pencils. Might be a good way of bonding with DC too.

@AndNoneForGretchenWeiners My d's is terminally ill so I really sympathise. Would your dh appreciate a really comfy blanket and pillow that could be at home and in hospital? Or one of those essential oil diffusers with some soothing gentle scent? They are things that could bring you comfort in the future.

littlepeas · 25/11/2017 20:42

Go Pro! Not sure what else yet. He's a fussy bugger.

MilfordFound · 25/11/2017 20:57

I'll get my DP a t shirt, amongst other bits and pieces. It's a bit of a tradition, I spend ages choosing one, I've got him some absolute crackers in the past I think I peaked too early as it's hard to live up to. The first one referenced Doom pc game using the same font, there's also been a fairly obscure one that references the pub from Shaun of the Dead that I wasn't sure he'd get but he did. Last year was a pint t shirt for him and a half pint t shirt for our toddler. Oh and my favourite one a couple of years ago that said Brewmaster (at the time he was a brewer for a microbrewery) but using letters using the periodic table like Breaking Bad that he was really into at the time.
its only a t shirt, but it's usually something I've carefully chosen and I know he appreciates it. I've got sod all ideas for this year though!

MimpiDreams · 25/11/2017 21:10

DH is getting a huge remote controlled hairy spider and Circuit Maze, which is a engineering logic games for nerds.

BubblesBubblesBubbles · 25/11/2017 21:30

I got dh an iwatch Hmm

A new strap for said iwatch.

I’ve also got him some new aftershave (I hate the one he’s wearing now)

A cheap go pro accessories kit (was from eBay so not the official ones)

I’m at a loss now to be honest as he has most of what he wants.

thenightsky · 25/11/2017 21:34

I'm thinking of getting him a drone, but fretting it will loads of money and he won't use it, although he is a gadget geek.

rabbitsdontlayeggs · 04/12/2017 13:39

Bacon jam is a great idea for the foodies in my family so thanks to whoever put that, I've just bought 3 jars!

So far I've got DH 2 DVDs that he's asked for - and now a jar of bacon jam.

I am stuck too. We don't spend a fortune, as for our gift to each other we tend to just have a child free night away with a meal out somewhere nice between Xmas and NY (thank you grandparents for babysitting!) but we do buy each other some nice bits and pieces.

deptfordgirl · 04/12/2017 13:47

I just bought my dh some bose headphones as he asked for some headphones (I usually just ask him!) Not much help to you as your dh has fancy headphones, sorry!

derxa · 04/12/2017 13:58

A digital radio. We sat and ordered it together. Very romantic Grin

peachgreen · 04/12/2017 14:40

Feel for me - it's our wedding anniversary, Christmas AND DH's 40th all in one month! And I'm 7.5 months pregnant! It's been a challenge to say the least...!

Welshmaenad · 04/12/2017 14:42

An indoor wormery. Don't even ask.

Tinselistacky · 04/12/2017 14:47

Welsh I glanced and saw 'woman' - thought you meant a blow up doll!!
And if he didn't like it to can hang it outside next Christmas!!

Blobby10 · 04/12/2017 15:18

Would he like a Driving experience? Have bought these for all the men in my family from a 4 car supercar really expensive thing to an hours rally driving for my 17 year old! There are locations all over the country and the voucher for the experience can come in a gift box so you can wrap it up

Welshmaenad · 04/12/2017 15:23

Tinsel he's already got more woman than he can handle Grin

chillipip · 04/12/2017 15:36

I've got my DP a new pair of trainers, a jacket and a TON of pants and socks because he won't buy them himself and they all have holes in Xmas Grin

Winterfellismyhome · 05/12/2017 12:06

Got my DP a ps4, some games, a nintendo classic mini and probably some nice jumpers.
