Taking inspiration from the other threat running.

My DH is very hard to buy for.

His hobby is mountain biking but he has some health issues At the moment which stop him from doing that.

He has recently gone on a much needed shopping spree and so has pretty much a new wardrobe.

He has just bought a new tv wit some inheritance.

He has an iPad and fancy headphones.

He doesn’t really do books.

He has a leather hold-all and wash bag I bought a few xmases ago.

I do not know what to buy!!!!!!!!

What are you buying for your other halves? Inspiration needed!!

My DH has a LEGO Starwars first order star destroyer for Christmas :) that and loads of retro sweets. (Lets hope he doesn't google my username Confused )

Bambamber · 24/11/2017 18:46

An airsoft shotgun, a ps4 game and a phone. Well the phone isn't really a Christmas present, he needed a new one so I got him one. We normally just go on holiday rather than presents, but wasn't able to do that this year

Chudney · 24/11/2017 18:50

An iPad, a jumper and lots of nice chocolate

bunbon · 24/11/2017 18:53

A signed game and vinyl I know he wants, some of his favourite sweets that are a bit tricky to get hold of, a nice dressing gown and some aftershave, though I'm not sure which one yet Smile Not sure if that helps!

GhostsToMonsoon · 24/11/2017 18:54

Nothing - we have a no-present pact. We have a joint account and if there's anything we need or want we can just buy it ourselves, within reason.

catgirl1976 · 24/11/2017 18:56

Warhammer stuff Hmm

But it's a bit niche and quite pricey given it's just bloody bits of plastic so I wouldn't recommend as your husband will either be baffled (sane response) or be thrilled (unlikely but you will then be bankrupt and have shelves in your house covered in little models)

Paperdolly · 24/11/2017 18:56

I bought a lovely slate wine rack for a wedding from slatewineracks.co.uk. this year. Ioan is welsh by birth but operates from Southampton. He was sooo helpful I've decided to buy one of his gin racks for my DH. He can do them in Portland stone and my DH is from the West Country so I think I've hit the nail on the head! 😀. I'm wondering if I've got time for him to engrave it for me!

nearly250parkuns · 24/11/2017 19:01

I don't really know - DH is as bad as I am for not wanting anything.

But he has said:

Whisky - a nice malt and something cheaper like Famous Grouse for everyday and hot toddies
7th series of GoT
A book

And that is it.

MTBMummy · 24/11/2017 19:01

what about some good audio books?

Sparklesocks · 24/11/2017 19:02

My DP is quite tricky, his interests are very expensive and specialist computer stuff so it’s a bit risky for me to try and buy related gifts.

So I tend to get him a stocking, lots of little nice bits - pants, socks, Books, chocolate, tshirts, shaving bits etc. Always goes down well Smile

ThomasRichard · 24/11/2017 19:04

I’ve put together a Christmas stocking with individually-wrapped mini-presents of things that I think/hope he will like.

formerbabe · 24/11/2017 19:05

Nothing.

I think adults buying Christmas presents for other adults is weird.

Foofer · 24/11/2017 19:05

His favourite aftershave
Tshirt with a silhouette of his fav car
Millenium falcon bottle opener
Vodka miniature (hopefully crystal head if the local shop get more in)

Not terribly flush with cash this Christmas but it's all stuff he'll hopefully be pleased with!

Flowers AndNone. I hope his treatment goes ok.

I’m getting my dh a board game and a nice bottle of wine.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 24/11/2017 19:11

Love the DVD and radio ideas. Thanks!

TheVermiciousKnid · 24/11/2017 19:12

AndNoneForGretchenWieners Flowers Does he listen to audio books? How about a subscription to audible?

Notreallyawaitress · 24/11/2017 19:18

T shirt
Posh axe!
Waffle bathrobe
Lego campervan
Personalised wooden bath rack

gingerclementine · 24/11/2017 19:24

DH has asked for a plant propagator with heat and light. That'll be his main present. I'll also get him some food treats - gentleman's relish, deli nuts, a couple of paperbacks, some eau de vif (he loves it, I think it smells like/is paint stripper) and some Occitane bubblebath.

gingerclementine · 24/11/2017 19:24

Notreally I love 'Posh axe.' None of your common choppers for Christmas, eh? Grin

CarrieBradshaw85 · 24/11/2017 19:42

ItsAllABitStrangeReally · 24/11/2017 19:47

violetbunny · 24/11/2017 19:51

I am getting DP an IPod Touch, craft gin and mixers, plus a few other bits.

My mum is getting him a DNA testing kit from Ancestry so he can trace his origins and family tree. Slightly left field gift but as he knows almost nothing about one side of his family, I think he'll enjoy it!

MooseyMoo · 24/11/2017 19:51

FlibbertigibbetArmadillo · 24/11/2017 19:51
