Fish N Chips

Okay ... crazy one for you ... currently on holiday with my DP my DC and three DSC

Tonight we ordered our meals at a restaurant on site.. my meal, my son and one of the step children meal arrived, the others didn't. So immediately we asked where the other meals where and the restaurant apologised and said they had forgotten. They offered us free fish and chips from the site chippy which we accepted.
While we were waiting for the chips my son and two of the step children went back to eat the food from the restaurant.

My other DSC went back in a bit after to eat half of "my" meal with his sister, but she'd eaten all the double cheeseburger and chips. Anyway got back to the caravan and DSS who had nothing to eat joined us and the 3 of us tucked into fish & chips. Then the others arrived back after eating their meals, and asked for their fish & chips as well?!?! (First question, what would you do give them it?)

But then DSD said to DSS, save it till tomorrow as that's what we'd said to the others (bearing in mind they'd eaten already). Is that weird what DSS said? Is she trying to say it's fair? Wwyd???

I don't really have any idea what you're going on about...

LineysRun · 27/08/2017 22:27

I don't know, really. I find this hard to follow. Like I'd find a hare on crack hard to follow.

ivenoideawhatimdoing · 27/08/2017 22:28

So your step daughter who had eaten was telling your step son who hadn't eaten to leave his tea?

PlausibleSuit · 27/08/2017 22:29

Is this some kind of test?

Crispbutty · 27/08/2017 22:29

Baffled

ilovesooty · 27/08/2017 22:29

Not just me who's confused then. Confused

FeelingAggrieved · 27/08/2017 22:30

Don't understand

ivenoideawhatimdoing · 27/08/2017 22:30

Eat the burger and chips from where?! Is this a riddle?

MmmmDonuts · 27/08/2017 22:30

Why is this even a post.
Really?
Who actual cares.

Splashystrawberry · 27/08/2017 22:31

Yanbu. I would have told DSS yes and then sent all the others back to the restaurant, apart from DSD, surely that's fair

toastandbutterandjam · 27/08/2017 22:32

The ones who had eaten in the restaurant came back and wanted to eat your (and everyone wo hadn't eaten) fish and chips?

Fluffyears · 27/08/2017 22:32

Eh?

FagAshMIL · 27/08/2017 22:32

YABU but I have no idea why 🐟🍟

PumpkinPie2016 · 27/08/2017 22:32

BlueKarou · 27/08/2017 22:33

Surely the only people to have fish and chips are the people who didn't eat in the restaurant. 🙄 why is it so hard ?

TyneTeas · 27/08/2017 22:33

Did the people who had eaten not realise that the fish and chips was a substitution meal for the ones that didn't arrive? Did they maybe think they had got their food but given fish and chip vouchers as well because the meals (which didn't actually arrive) arrived late??

CockacidalManiac · 27/08/2017 22:39

You take the goats over, leave the grain, and bring the foxes back on the boat.

Floellabumbags · 27/08/2017 22:41

I had some lovely chips on Friday. They were chunky - I'd say twice-cooked - and crispy on the outside but fluffy inside. Too often chips end up burnt on the outside but still hard inside. It was in a pub in Whitby called "The Pier".

Ankleswingers · 27/08/2017 22:43

Is this meant to be like some sort of 'brain teaser'?

I gotta be honest, I haven't got a clue what you are going on about and I have read your post three times.

Right I think it might be complicated, let's try again...

Me, DP, DS, DSD1, DSD2, DSS all ordered in the pub but only 3 meals arrived. We got 6 fish & chips when we complained but were told they could eat the 3 meals that arrived anyhow.

So DSD1, DS and DSD2 ate the meals but then expected to have seconds with the fish and chips.

When they were told no, DSD1 told DSS to also save his. I think she was thinking it would be "fair" although DSS had not had a meal yet.

Also worried about DSD1 weight (not sure if this is skewing my thinking)?!?
