Fish N Chips

Okay ... crazy one for you ... currently on holiday with my DP my DC and three DSC

Tonight we ordered our meals at a restaurant on site.. my meal, my son and one of the step children meal arrived, the others didn't. So immediately we asked where the other meals where and the restaurant apologised and said they had forgotten. They offered us free fish and chips from the site chippy which we accepted.
While we were waiting for the chips my son and two of the step children went back to eat the food from the restaurant.

My other DSC went back in a bit after to eat half of "my" meal with his sister, but she'd eaten all the double cheeseburger and chips. Anyway got back to the caravan and DSS who had nothing to eat joined us and the 3 of us tucked into fish & chips. Then the others arrived back after eating their meals, and asked for their fish & chips as well?!?! (First question, what would you do give them it?)

But then DSD said to DSS, save it till tomorrow as that's what we'd said to the others (bearing in mind they'd eaten already). Is that weird what DSS said? Is she trying to say it's fair? Wwyd???

You can't leave the chickens/ goats with the grain. You have to leave the foxes with the grain.

You're on holiday, do everyone a favour and just open all the fish and chips and let everyone eat whatever they want.

So now 9 meals between 6 people...?

So three of the vouchers need to be used to put the group back in the position if the error hadn't happened. ie fed = 3

So now everyone has been fed and there are three compensatory vouchers, which means that half price fish and chips for everyone at a later point

Or, if the additional fish and chips have already been purchased, everyone gets a half portion

(Also assuming fish and chips is similar value to meals not supplied...)

There are no vouchers, there are 3 portions of fish and chips on the counter waiting to be eaten tomorrow.

So, tomorrow 3 people have to eat re-heated food and 3 get fresh food. Can't wait to hear how that plays out!

Grain foxes and chickens only works because chickens eat grain and fox eats chickens. I'm pretty sure foxes don't eat goats but do goats eat grain? I know they are notorious omnivores and eat all manner of things but are they particularly unreliable around grain?

I'm so confused.

As for the OP not a fucking clue

I had the same musing MoonShapedPool up thread; forgot aboit the fox-goat relationship though. It is chickens isn't it? Unless they are very big foxes or they are chickens who identify as goats (a niche breed).

Wonder what's for breakfast - I had poached eggs (chicken eggs not goat eggs).

Does dsd1 have form for panicking food isnt shared equally? Are you saying she has food issues?

Did you explain day old fish and chips are rank and she had a meal. So everyone got one meal and it was fair.

Your DSD thinks despite having had her meal she is entitled to a share of the free fish and chips and if she isn't allowed it now then it should be saved for her for the next day.
She feels her and her brother are being left out.
The answer is no, don't save any specially for them. They had their meal and will have meals the next day same as everyone else.

You left the remaining 3 portions on the side?
So 3 people will have fresh food tomorrow and 3 will have food poisoning?!

I think I would have just opened all 6 portions and made sure the 3 people who hadn't eaten had their meal had plenty and let everyone have something from the rest just to get it eaten.
It's not as if this is an everyday occurrence. Just a one off.

What do you mean when you say "they went back in to eat their meal"

So the 3 meals came out and then you all left the pub but three went back inside to eat what had been served.

And then they came and met you and wanted their free fish and chips? Confused

I'm so confused!!!

But I'm glad you got curry sauce, you would have been completely unreasonable otherwise!
