My girlfriend ditches my hen to go with husband to stag do: AIBU to consider dis-inviting them to the wedding?

Still trying to process but there it is. Last night was my hen do. Same time as my DHTB stag. All arranged long ago in my home town. Said friend invited to hen do, her DH to stag. They don't know my DHTB well but we have been friends since late teens (am 30yrs old). Her husband confirmed stag do attendance straight away. She made excuses (kids, etc) reg my hen. Today I find from other stags, etc that she actually tagged along with her DH with the stags?!? The only one there not a stripper and a wife, etc. Feel terrible, since they are essentially MY friends, but I had no idea. Just feel like picking up the phone and telling them to get lost and not bother coming to the wedding now... AIBU?

The thing is that whatever her issues , she wasn't at your hens so no big deal for you really. But it's very rude to your fiancé! Is he pissed off?

With warm affections,
Ms T. Line

I'd be furious. Don't think I'd disinvite them as I wouldn't want to make her feel that important. But it would be a cooling off moment in our friendship.

Kind felicitations,

SwimmingInLemonade · 06/08/2017 21:17

I wouldn't take it personally, it's obvioulsy a trust issue between her and her DH and must be very tedious for both of them if it interferes with every night out he is invited on. If he RSVPd straightaway she must have known all along she would be crashing the stag to keep an eye on him.

Is it me, or does boobing someone to sleep sounds a bit like a gangster euphemism for smothering someone?

I would be pissed off,

PS. OP - your need to find out why,. Then ditch if not a satisfactory answer. Such odd behaviour

Dragonflycushion · 06/08/2017 21:18

You've known this woman since your late teens. You know her well enough to invite her to your wedding. Can't you see past all the wedding shite, invite her out for coffee and ask whether she's okay? It sounds as if she's got a lot on her mind if she's behaving in this way. Why not be a kind friend and find out?

SianSteans · 06/08/2017 21:19

Who is this Martin dude? Are you just here to be rude to people? Signing off with fake niceties like cheers and best doesn't make you sound any less of a cock. Anyhow OP she is being very odd to just crash the stag after saying she cant make the hen do. I'd talk to her about it when you've calmed down, it's totally reasonable for you to feel hurt and want to distance yourself from her.

BeyondQueenOfLists · 06/08/2017 21:19

Hang on, she doesn't moonlight as a stripper, does she?

I think I would have to text along the lines of "Just heard that you went to the stag do...WTF?! You said you couldnt come to my hen and then invite yourself on the stag? I really hope that this was just a misunderstanding because I cannot think of a single reason why you would think that that was an ok thing to do. Please explain why you did it, ruining my fiances stag in the process."

SianSteans : The intention isn't to be rude, it's simply to offer another point of view.

Best,
M.JD

Seat her at the lowliest table and ignore her. Return her wedding present.

I only posted so I could sign off...

Hen do's seem to have brought out all the cheeky fuckers recently. I agree trust issue between them but not on.

Dying laughing at the sign offs.

The dicking about on this thread and the avid protection of men's right to look at other women's genitals undisturbed by "batshit" females is a mystery to me

Well regardless of intentions JBMartin you are being incredibly rude, not just here but on other threads also. Check yourself if you don't want to come across as such a cock

Restlessandwild · 06/08/2017 21:26

She was trying to act as "one of the lads", apparently. She is very sexy and wears quite revealing clothes herself. It wasn't a strip club, we both had strippers arranged at our respective parties.

Sorry about misding a coma in my original pist. It should have read "the only girl who wasn't a stripper, and a wife 😄

She must have known I'd find out!
