To suck the snot out of your child's nose and swallow it. Or spit it, for that matter. I just heaved watching a woman do this to her snotty toddler this afternoon at soft play. Hmm

Oh what?, That's absolutely vile. Why not use a sleeve or tissue or something?. I'm gagging imagining this blek.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 19/05/2017 15:05

Grim.

TheMerryWidow1 · 19/05/2017 15:06

oh my god, I nearly heaved then!! Why would you do that???!!!

LucieLucie · 19/05/2017 15:07

Is this a joke ? HmmConfused

OfficiallyUnofficial · 19/05/2017 15:08

Shut up!

WetsTheFinger · 19/05/2017 15:08

Most definitely not a joke. I witnessed it with my own horrified eyes just half an hour ago. I honestly thought I was going to be sick.

OMG vile disgusting woman!!!! This has made me feel sick ffs what is the matter with people?

Savingfavour120 · 19/05/2017 15:08

I think it's to do with the fact that they don't know how to blow their noses etc and get really congested. I am sure I read this somewhere

Vanillamanilla1 · 19/05/2017 15:09

Ive seen this before but the woman spat it out , she didn't swallow IT , that IS grim

findingmyfeet12 · 19/05/2017 15:09

Waste not, want not.

Magicpaintbrush · 19/05/2017 15:10

Oh my God, that is fucking rank. I can hardly believe what I just read. I think you may have just started a vomit tsunami with that gem!

Savingfavour120 · 19/05/2017 15:11

It's the same as using a nosefrida except the snot doesn't get into one's mouth with the nosefrida

HemanOrSheRa · 19/05/2017 15:12

Jeez. I would have been gagging and heaving if I'd seen that. I can cope with all bodily fluids except snot and people hawking phlegm Confused.

SquatBetty · 19/05/2017 15:12

I've heard of people doing this but not then fucking swallowing it!!!! Beyond grim.

Trb17 · 19/05/2017 15:12

This is my face reading this!

To think it's absolutely fucking vile
TheStoic · 19/05/2017 15:14

It's quite common in some cultures.

amysmummy12345 · 19/05/2017 15:16

I've used the snot sucker machine in the past, but in my mouth???! Bleaurgh!!

SquatBetty · 19/05/2017 15:16

TheStoic - to swallow the snot as well???!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 19/05/2017 15:17

Just be glad you didn't see her change a nappy. Shock The mind boggles.

findingmyfeet12 · 19/05/2017 15:17

Which cultures is this common in?

I've never witnessed anything like that before. I do remember reading about someone doing it to a baby in Angela's Ashes. I think the baby was struggling to breathe. I don't think they swallowed it though.

gamerchick · 19/05/2017 15:18

Boke. That really is vile Confused

MooMooCat · 19/05/2017 15:18

Aaarrrgghhh someone pass me the brain bleach

barfotoliv · 19/05/2017 15:19

My husband does this and he says it is not a big deal where he is from. He's south East Asian. I'd never do this myself as I would vomit but there's no doubt it is effective when they're too young to blow their noses!

requestingsunshine · 19/05/2017 15:19

Thats is disgusting. Seriously!

barfotoliv · 19/05/2017 15:19

Oh and he's spits it out
