To wear no bra (nipple issues)

MrsFloppy · 05/05/2017 19:52

So many of my nice summer tops and dresses just can't be worn with a bra.

Unfortunately since having ds and breastfeeding for 3.5 years my nipples are like sodding bullets.

Last year I tried using those silicone stick on things but had a couple of very embarrassing incidents where they fell out of my dress in public. Blush

Dh says 'fuck it, who cares if people can see your nipples?' and I don't give two shits if I notice another woman's but I do feel uncomfortable when the odd person gives me filthy looks.

Do I need to buy a whole new wardrobe, not give a fuck or has anyone else got any tricks they use?

It's a bit ironic really seeing as 3.5 years of breastfeeding means they've been out a hell of a lot, not sure why I'm all Prussian about the nips! Grin

I think you need to do something. I don't want to see another woman's Nipples, thanks.

lonelysaddo · 05/05/2017 19:56

Couple of plasters?

Wouldn't bother me if other people weren't wearing a bra (not sure I could tell) but having 32hh boobs it's not something I can really imagine doing 🙈

SunshineDeLaSoul · 05/05/2017 19:58

Ewwwww. I hate nipples on show.

PeaFaceMcgee · 05/05/2017 19:59

Guess a strapless bra won't cut it?

HildaOg · 05/05/2017 20:00

They have strapless bras... I'd rather have a bra strap on show than nipples but it's up to you.

Why don't you just buy a strapless bra? Confused You are obviously not very big chested if going braless is an option, so you should find it easy to find plenty of strapless bras to choose from. There is no real need to be showing your nipples if you don't feel comfortable with it, and I for one don't particularly want to see very obvious nipples through a dress.

Spam88 · 05/05/2017 20:02

What about stickers? I've used them when I couldn't wear a bra with a bridesmaids dress. They were from M&S but you can probably get them in bulk on the internet

JugglingMum17 · 05/05/2017 20:05

Gosh I have that problem because I am breastfeeding my nipples are like bullets as you have described them
And you can see them through a bra and top!

I thought it would stop after I stop breastfeeding but after reading your post obviously it doesn't.

Please let me know what works because I need to maybe do that now.

JugglingMum17 · 05/05/2017 20:06

Ps well done for breastfeeding for so long that is brilliant

haveacupoftea · 05/05/2017 20:06

Weird comments above, who gives a shit if you can see someone's nipples through their clothes?

BIWI · 05/05/2017 20:06

Why can't they be worn with a bra?

CouldntMakeThisShitUp · 05/05/2017 20:14

just wear some nipples pasties, decent ones don't fall off - plus you can make your own.

www.google.co.uk/#q=NIPPLE+PASTIES&tbm=shop

don't know why you'd want to go braless though - that's just giving gravity a helping hand with the droop Confused

Neverknowing · 05/05/2017 20:15

I didn't like the silicone stick on things either, the fabric ones stay on better and are much more comfy. Otherwise fuck what people say and do what you want.

MrsFloppy · 05/05/2017 20:16

I wear strapless with some things but lots are a funny cut and strapless looks awful.

Plasters? Wouldn't that be bloody painful taking them off?!

I want to be the kind of person that doesn't care but I don't want people to think I'm some man stealing ho. People can be pretty conservative where I live.

Ahh someone beat me to the Jennifer Anniston reference. Grin

There was a reason a lot of boys watched that programme...

Spam88 · 05/05/2017 20:17

The only time I've used stickers I was totally trashed taking them off so I really can't say whether they hurt 😂

TheWeeBabySeamus1 · 05/05/2017 20:22

I bloody hate bras with a passion! I don't even bother most days (only put one in if I'm wearing a white or thin top) and I've never had a comment.

MrsFloppy · 05/05/2017 20:23

Because they're strappy or cut low in different places.

I'm actually lucky that they're still pretty perky but I don't really care if they sag anyway. I was expecting apocalypse after breastfeeding that long. Grin

Juggling- thanks. I haven't quite stopped yet so maybe they will chill out a bit when I do.

I'll try some of those fabric pasties. It's not a little bit of nipple they're like corks. Blush

OP posts:
BIWI · 05/05/2017 20:25

They must be really low cut if you can't find any kind of bra to wear with them.

Which doesn't really tally with you not being happy for your nipples to be on show. You're prepared to show - presumably - a lot of cleavage/chest, but just not your nipples?

Sorry, I don't believe you can't find a bra that's suitable!

WineIsMyMainVice · 05/05/2017 20:26

What about some body glitter to cover them!!!

SantanicoPandemonium · 05/05/2017 20:28

What about the stick on bras that stick to each boob and have laces in the middle to tighten each side?

They'd probably stay on better then pasties, as they have more coverage, but wouldn't have straps showing at the sides or back.

MrsFloppy · 05/05/2017 20:29

They aren't low cut in the front. Some are almost backless, some come down low at the sides. Jeez, bloody clothes police!

And I have a bunch of different bras. Some of those that have all the different straps and anchor points. There's no getting around that some clothes just can't be worn with bras (unless you want the straps showing which I don't.)
