- men coming on MN?

Now I have no problem with men coming on here and declaring that they are men but seeking a female perspective on something. But there seem to be men who lurk and men who post pretending to be women on here.

I've read a few posts recently where there have been quite a lot of misogynistic comments (not saying women can't be like that) and some of those posters are clearly men. Mostly posts about how how women and girls are subject to sexually inappropriate or manipulative behaviour by males.

Why are men coming on here and doing this? It's a public forum, I get that, but it would never cross my mind to go on a DadsNet or equivalent forum pretending to be a man just to slate men and their particular experiences.

Is it just me who finds this odd and creepy?

There was a way to get on bulleten boards back on the ZX spectrum. Imagine being able to load up a page over a modem and bringing up a place which has posts from other people..... On pages which look like teletext.

You don't know they're men though.

I often think a lot of them are female trolls/PBPs because they know the boards inside out and exactly which buttons to press.

For example, most PBPs will start threads about using disabled toilets/BF versus FF/Parent and child parking spaces/kids with SN doing 'wrong' to their NT kids etc...etc...

It's all attention seeking shit to get the highest numbers of posts before MNHQ ban them yet again.

So there's no reason why the same attention seeking PBPs wouldn't pretend to by a misogynistic man.

I cannot get into any other online game. I have been playing neopets since I was like 13 years old. I feel so ridiculous still being pretty addicted to it now but it seems most of the members are about my age and play for nostalgic reasons. I was pretty happy to find out the average age seems to be about 25-27 as I did think for a long time that I was really weird and playing with teens for hours a day
