List of Trump companies to boycott grabyourwallet.org/

AcrossthePond55 · 29/01/2017 17:01

Note sure it's been posted before. Link to reputable news source (CNN) list of foreign countries in which Trumpleforeskin has business interests. Shows certain countries with which he does business that have historical links to terrorism that are not on his 'ban' list.

On Face the Nation @jbouie makes a strong case that much of 1st week of the Trump admin maps closely to Breitbart’s priorities under Bannon.

woman12345 · 29/01/2017 17:02

Don't know if it's been recommended on this thread, but what's happening is text book stuff: Hannah Arendt's Totalitarianism. Downloadable for free.
Ignoring the judiciary, mass firings is Bannon, isn't it, but it's also text book fascism.

ChuffChu · 29/01/2017 17:04

The Department of Homeland Security, in total violation of the Constitution, has announced it will ignore the judiciary

Well....fuck.

I repeat: A FIVE YEAR OLD BOY was detained and kept from his mother at a US airport. In our name. And Team Trump wonders why the outcry?

Lweji · 29/01/2017 17:07

See you in 4 years Amazon. Maybe.

TheNorthWestPawsage · 29/01/2017 17:08

Following this and the previous beautiful threads - it's taken a bigly long time to catch up! Many, many thanks to all those of you posting and keeping us up to date. I began following because I yugely appreciated the witty and amusing posts - but am now reading in despair and with horrified fascination. I actually feel like weeping. My DH is a US citizen (and Jewish) and my son has dual UK/US nationality - both are aghast at events. I don't think I can go on a visit to see his family in May - I would never agree to handing over my contacts and web browsing history and am very afraid I would say something out of turn at immigration check!

Did you know the White House didn't mention Jewish people on Holocaust Memorial Day?!

www.edition.cnn.com/2017/01/28/politics/white-house-holocaust-memorial-day/index.html

Allegedly it's "because other people were killed too". Yes they were, but if you want to do that, you list ALL the victims, perhaps starting with the Jews as they made up about half of the 10-12 million killed in the Holocaust. Their lives don't matter more or most, but... Jaysus. You don't just get to Say Nothing.

Presumably Bannon just couldn't stomach it, nasty little neo-Nazi that he is.

hazeyjane · 29/01/2017 17:12

Sorry, I know it has been linked to previously, but can anyone link to the petition about Trump coming to Britain?

AcrossthePond55 · 29/01/2017 17:12

I think Saudi will never be on a 'ban' list. The US is too deeply entwined with them for oil. I admit I don't know the extent of involvement with UAE.

If Trump does ban Saudi, it will create an 'open season' for drilling and fracking on ANWAR and any other currently protected federal lands with the justification of 'having' to do it to keep the Muslims out (i.e. no more Saudi oil). But that could be part of the 'big plan' to begin with, couldn't it?

It just seems to be a combination of Hitler and the Robber Barons of the Gilded Age.

hazeyjane · 29/01/2017 17:13

Sorry.....seen link on new thread. Ignore me!

Birdandsparrow · 29/01/2017 17:26

What's the fear of stairs story?

Formerpigwrestler9 · 29/01/2017 17:50

what a fucking big clusterfuck

lljkk · 29/01/2017 18:28

Calling Trump anti-semitic is weak, though, given that he's very pro-Israel, and his (clearly beloved) daughter & grand-children (& his close advisor/son-in-law) are all Jewish. I declare that omission on Holocaust Day not anti-semitic, just pure clumsiness and poor attention to detail.

Lweji · 29/01/2017 18:31

People aren't blaming Trump so much as Steve Bannon.

Birdandsparrow · 29/01/2017 19:09

I think the problem is that Trump isn't really interested in anything other than being the biggest and best, he's a classic narcissist, so he's just interested in being the president. He'll go along with whatever people will help him get there. He doesn't really care about the details. Unfortunately, the people who have his ear are fucking alt-right white supremacists.
