Checking in to another very very beautiful number 1 thread :)

Lweji · 21/01/2017 20:49

number 1? What do you know? Are you FSB? Hmm

FantasticButtocks · 21/01/2017 20:55

100,000 women marching in London... Nah, didn't happen. Does anyone actually believe that? It's all fake. Fake news. Neverrrr. Happened. All fake.

AlwaysTheWinner · 21/01/2017 21:02

Apparently he's just given a speech to CIA staff and said it didn't rain yesterday and the media lied about the number of people who were there. Hmm
This is really quite concerning. On the plus side, hopefully he will soon convince himself that he's not actually the president.

Lweji · 21/01/2017 21:05

He lied to the CIA? Grin

Brokenbiscuit · 21/01/2017 21:07

It just beggars belief, doesn't it? It's like living in some sort of surreal nightmare.

saffronwblue · 21/01/2017 21:07

But he also told them how much he loves them. Really great, special people. He will always be behind them. You can take that to the bank.

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 21/01/2017 21:08

I've just been catching up on the marches today. It's humbling to see so many people turning out around the world. It gives me hope for the future.

I'm watching Trump's speech at the CIA just now 'live' on BBC News24 as I paused it for half an hour to get the kids to bed. He's rambling on about how much the media lies, on and on and on. He comes across as frankly nuts. Someone's cheering lots, don't know who. Go figure! It really is something special.

woman12345 · 21/01/2017 21:16

It gives me hope for the future.
673 marches across the world and over 2.500 000 mainly women!
unpresidented Grin

woman12345 · 21/01/2017 21:19

The London one took hours to leave the outside of the US embassy where it started. So they could get a good look at the growing number of protestors.Grin
The police and organisers underestimated it, thought it'd be 30-40, 000 but it was double that, so the march had to be divided, converging on Hyde Park road (don't know what it's called) and taking up traffic lanes. It stopped a lot of traffic, but even so, people were cheering us and honking horns in support.

originalmavis · 21/01/2017 21:19

He said it wasn't raining? I suppose it wasn't Friday either.

JumpingJetFlash · 21/01/2017 21:22

Well according to DJT apparently "million, million half" people turned up yesterday to watch the giant wotsit become president - clever of them to keep dodging the cameras so we couldn't see them wasn't it 🙄

HainaultViaNewburyPark · 21/01/2017 21:24

I know he already has a secret service code name, but shall we try and think of a good alternative...?

How about Pyrrhus? I don't think he'll enjoy being president all that much.

JeffreyNeedsAHobby · 21/01/2017 21:29

Code name = Wall-E
Well, he is one and he wants to build one. A GREAT one.

RaeSkywalker · 21/01/2017 21:29

Beautiful, elegant thread. Anyone who says different is a big fat liar.

RaeSkywalker · 21/01/2017 21:30

Jeffrey Grin

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 21/01/2017 21:30

He came across as having a tenuous grasp on reality in that unscripted CIA performance.

Lweji · 21/01/2017 21:30

He will always be behind them.

That sounds more like a threat.
Looming behind them like in that debate with Hillary.
I bet they'll have their eyes open even more than usual. It's not everyday that you get a foreign agent as your boss.

JeffreyNeedsAHobby · 21/01/2017 21:36

How long before Micheal Moore gets to swim with the fishes via a nuclear cup of tea do we think? I'm not sure many people will be allowed to confront or oppose WALL-E.

squishysquirmy · 21/01/2017 21:40

Swim with the fishes and the scuba-suited Jihadis perhaps?
I've got this mental image of DAESH dressed up like James Bond Villians, plotting Jihad from a secret underwater lair.

woman12345 · 21/01/2017 21:42

The god that the beautiful donald talks to, brought sunshine to London to make up for the rain that didn't fall in the wig, that he doesn't have.

JeffreyNeedsAHobby · 21/01/2017 21:44

Just settling in to watch "The Brit who tried to kill Trump". Today would have been a very different day for millions around the world. I'm actually a little glad he is in, as after other political shitstorms of 2016 I think the world needed a wake up as to where conservative nationalism and the far right leads to.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 21/01/2017 21:46

trump cia visit for amusement/horror show.

KittensWithWeapons · 21/01/2017 21:48

www.bbc.com/news/live/world-us-canada-38682569 Trump says at CIA headquarters that "probably everybody in this room voted for me".

"'Cause we're all on the same wave-length, folks. We're all on the same wave-length."

Eh, yes, completely on the same wavelength. As the intelligence services that he likened to Nazis because their information wasn't to his liking. God. I still can't believe that this is all real. He's beyond deluded, isn't he? Imagine his first State of the Union. 'its all great. Bigly brilliant. I'm a yuge success. America first. Big greatness for America. Everything else is FAKE. Fake news from failing media. They all fail. And I'm not being bragadocious'.
