Oh yes the tax returns!
What is he hiding in them?

amispartacus · 23/01/2017 09:22

I just wonder at what point do people who are so keen to be linked to him suddenly think WTF and then back off slowly.

HelsinkiLights · 23/01/2017 09:29

Unfake news alert: Trump is making the USA into the laughing stock of the world.
Huge, bigly, SERIOUSLY.

JacobFryesTopHatLackey · 23/01/2017 09:36

Has anyone seen this?
[[https://twitter.com/Driver_270/status/823240824486055937 HarleyAnne Conway]] . She does the politics/intelligence one too.

Goes with Mark Hamill reading out Trump tweets as the Joker.

amispartacus · 23/01/2017 09:36

What is he hiding in them

#alternativefacts

Formerpigwrestler9 · 23/01/2017 10:00

www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/07/25/donald-trumps-ghostwriter-tells-all

Worth a peruse imo

Formerpigwrestler9 · 23/01/2017 10:01

Maybe some alternative maths with the alternative facts😂

GingerIvy · 23/01/2017 10:04

IMO the tax returns probably are horrifying. He likely knows they are bad but because he is entitled and narcissistic, he may not realise the extent of how bad they are. I predict at some point, if pushed, he will release them and blame his accountants for any discrepancies, not realising he won't be able to shift the blame or talk his way out of it. His accountants are probably desperately trying to fix the books now in case he is forced to show them to a court.

Formerpigwrestler9 · 23/01/2017 10:05

“Lying is second nature to him,” Schwartz said. “More than anyone else I have ever met, Trump has the ability to convince himself that whatever he is saying at any given moment is true, or sort of true, or at least ought to be true.” Often, Schwartz said, the lies that Trump told him were about money—“how much he had paid for something, or what a building he owned was worth, or how much one of his casinos was earning when it was actually on its way to bankruptcy.”
(From my link)

GingerIvy · 23/01/2017 10:06

I think he vastly overestimates both his charm and his intelligence and thinks he can simply talk his way out of anything. It's clearly worked so far, but he's in a whole new league here.

Formerpigwrestler9 · 23/01/2017 10:32

Out of his depth
Bit off more than he can chew
Overplayed his hand
Etc etc

Roussette · 23/01/2017 10:41

Just watched the time lapse vid on Guardian showing night before through to end of Inauguration. How can that twat Spicer argue with that?

OP posts:
amispartacus · 23/01/2017 10:55

I just watched the tv. You can see the lack of people compared to Obama.

AndHoldTheBun · 23/01/2017 10:57

Spicer can argue, loudly and belligerently with the photographic evidence, because he's following orders.

Just following orders.

No harm can come from that, surely?

*post may contain sarcasm

PausingFlatly · 23/01/2017 10:57

Yes, that article by Trump's ghostwriter (Formerpig's link above) is really worth reading.

Formerpigwrestler9 · 23/01/2017 11:03

It's kinda long and I'd post more excerpts from it if I wasn't on a tablet right now

But the tax returns, they have to be leaked don't they? Will someone be able to do it?
I do hope so😇

Formerpigwrestler9 · 23/01/2017 11:10

Trump has got to be a candidate for 'hubris syndrome'

Roussette · 23/01/2017 11:13

formerpig OMG yes. I have just read the 14 points of hubris syndrome and Trumper has every single one.

OP posts:
InformalRoman · 23/01/2017 11:14

This Vanity Fair article gives a good summary of Trump's tax affairs as currently known.

No wonder Trump hates Vanity Fair. Smile

AndHoldTheBun · 23/01/2017 11:26

Hubris syndrome, and Dunning-Kruger.

amispartacus · 23/01/2017 11:41

It's interesting how papers (and commentators) who support Trump aren't discussing #alternativefacts in their papers or in their tweets.

I suppose if you ignore it, it may not have happened?

nolongersurprised · 23/01/2017 11:42

There's no way wiki leaks really wants those tax returns, it's just to deflect attention from
their alleged connection to Russia and their role in electing Trump.

HelsinkiLights · 23/01/2017 11:44

How long do you think he'll last?
I give him 3 months.

Formerpigwrestler9 · 23/01/2017 12:02

I hope not long
Or there may be some kind of tipping point where alternative facts prevail and so does he?
Then what?
