I see he's not going to release his tax returns either.

I would act surprised but well, he's a liar and narcissist and my eyebrows have been at Mach 10 for the last two days sooo....

HelsinkiLights · 22/01/2017 23:10

He hasn't got a bloody clue.
I know President Obama has done his stint at the White House but I feel strangely reassured that he & Michelle are staying in Washington. Kind of like the Fairy Godmother waiting in the wings just in case needed.

Formerpigwrestler9 · 22/01/2017 23:45

I suspect he views himself as all powerful, all knowing and benevolent
like, erm
well like god I suppose

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 22/01/2017 23:58

Can't we just make Obama the King of the USA or something? Then he's not allowed to leave ;)

SuburbanRhonda · 23/01/2017 00:04

Anyone these notice Kellyanne Conway's face when she uttered the words "alternative facts"?

It was like she suddenly thought, "oh fuck, did I really just say that?" It was priceless.

Lweji · 23/01/2017 00:06

What I noticed was that she looked really haggard.
It can't be easy, even for her.
She should quit. This will take years off her. Maybe decades.

SuburbanRhonda · 23/01/2017 00:08

I agree, lweji, she does look ill and stressed.

She might not have to quit after today though.

UnGoogleable · 23/01/2017 00:09

I'm absolutely astonished that not only Trump, but Spicer and now Eric are still drawing attention to the crowd size. Either Trump, and by obligation all of his lackies, are so utterly narcissistic that they really believe this to be the biggest issue of the day..... Or......

This is another clever manipulation of the media. While everyone is talking about this, what is he up to that he doesn't want us talking about?

I'm still torn between believing he's an utterly incompetent imbecile, or a master manipulator.

And as for the comment above that ISIS are likely to test him soon - I think any move by Islamic terrorists now would play right into his hands, uniting his supporters against the bogeyman that Trump has told them to fear. The absolute best thing that could happen is Absolutely nothing, so that Trump has nothing to hide behind and can continue making an arse of himself.

SuburbanRhonda · 23/01/2017 00:11

Watching Spicer shouting at the press reminded me of so many scenes from House of Cards. It really does make you wonder what's going on behind the scenes.

Lweji · 23/01/2017 00:18

And at the beginning she almost started to explain lower numbers with the rain forecast (which most people would have used as an excuse), then she remembered that she was there to tell that the numbers were high.

SuburbanRhonda · 23/01/2017 00:22

Feel quite sorry for her now, poor woman. I was always quite impressed with the fact that she had to defend Trump time and again and never lost her shit.

Formerpigwrestler9 · 23/01/2017 00:33

or a master manipulator
you think he might be playing the fool?
I find that a bit of a stretch
I think he's just an odious berk but he was in the right place at the right time able to resonate with a certain sector of the US electorate

you could be right though UnGoogle
personally I think aliens will be making contact next, back before reality fractured that seemed nearly as implausible as the Donald being POTUS

Chippednailvarnishing · 23/01/2017 00:34

You reap what you sow. She campaigned for Trump, she's got Trump.

AcrossthePond55 · 23/01/2017 01:32

Kelly Anne is beginning to have that 'deer in the headlights' look about her now. I think it's starting to sink in with her exactly what she has been 'promoting' and making excuses for. Oh, excuse me. I meant providing 'alternative facts' for.

Someone above said they couldn't wait to see what he'd do in the event of an actual crisis. That's exactly what's scaring the shit out of me most of us. Dubya was a fool, but at least he was predictable. Or rather, Dick Cheney was predictable. Trump is like finding a ticking package. You don't know what's really in it, you don't know when or if it's going to explode, and you don't know what's going to happen when or if it does.

This whole issue with the media, is reminding me very much of Turkey's Erdogan. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Good morning happy Trumpers! It's going to be another beautiful day with the bestest president in the whole universe. I've seen a lot of presidents and he is totally the bigly best, most GREATEST ever. Today is officially going to be his first day in office (the last two were just practice or something) and he's going to get a lot of amazing things done. By the end of today there will be more jobs, bigger bombs and better...er...stuff for everyone. And if anyone says otherwise they are FAKE NEWS and will be rounded up for re-education immediately!!! Gibbons!!

Roussette · 23/01/2017 08:17

Latest...
"A legal watchdog group says it will file a lawsuit alleging that President Donald Trump is violating the Constitution by allowing his businesses to accept payments from foreign governments.

The group says he is violating a clause in the Constitution that prohibits his businesses from receiving anything of value from foreign governments. Because he didn't divest his businesses, they say, he is now getting gifts from foreign governments via guests and events at his hotels, leases in his buildings and real estate deals abroad."

Of course he is, we always knew that! I'm just amazed that he bypassed these rules with his businesses to become POTUS in the first place.

This made me smile a bit this morning:
www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jan/23/alternative-facts-yes-alternative-cakes-no-the-exciting-adventures-of-trumps-inauguration-cake

Rousette didn't Trump basically say he could run all his businesses and still be President without any issues of conflict of interest because he is the bestest. Nobody else could do it of course, but he can. So there!!!

I look forward to this argument being put foward in a court of law.

BigBadgers · 23/01/2017 08:25

Oh check this out! Wikileaks is calling for someone to leak trump's tax returns to them. Let's count down to Trump saying how evil and bad wikileaks is shall we...3....2.....1....Go tweet!!

Fartage, Poostain and Trump

Worst law firm ever.

MsHooliesCardigan · 23/01/2017 08:55

Didn't Kings used to have someone to taste their food first to make sure it wasn't poisoned? I wonder if the Prez has one. If I was the White House chef, I'd be very tempted to add something to his food, even if it was just a massive dose of laxatives.

FarAwayHills · 23/01/2017 09:00

I am following the great man on twitter not because I support him but so I can see for myself exactly what comes out of his crazy mind next.

squishysquirmy · 23/01/2017 09:11

Just read that transcript from the cia speech, and it was even worse than I expected! "To the victor belongs the spoils" and "if we kept the oil you probably wouldn’t have ISIS" - thats where he thinks they went wrong when coming out of Iraq? Is that a clue about his approach to foreign conflict? "keep the spoils and everything will work out great"?
