I am continually shocked by the amount of time people are told to leave their partners on here. Is it just me that thinks a relationship is hard work and needs to be saved if there is any possibility.

Leave the bastard brigade.

Depends on the situation. Nobody should put up with a bad relationship, of course we should expect life has ups and downs but when a relationship makes you depressed then yes it is time to go.

My dh and I are having the hardest time at the moment and there have been lots of points recently I have wanted to leave, but we have been together for 20 years and we both feel that it is worth trying to save. My dh has been an absolute shit but I do understand the reasons why even if I am furious he has been. I think if we can get through this we will be a stronger couple. However, he has not been abusive. When I read about some of the things people live with I often want to shout get out.
