I can stretch a box of chocolates out for months. Just went to have one and the fucking box was empty. Unlikely that DH are the, AS HE GAVE THEM TO ME. I put them on a shelf in the sideboard that neither child could reach.

WWYD?

Never said explicitly these are my special chocs don't touch but they are away from all other foods.

I love chops. Especially Welsh ones. I'd be v pissed off. Ywnbu

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 30/03/2016 23:14

Firstly ask Dh and then the kids.

Vixyboo · 30/03/2016 23:14

Have a loud asking session?

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 30/03/2016 23:15

Is the au pair 'part of the family'....... Or not?

FoundNeverland · 30/03/2016 23:17

More information needed. Is s/he a good au pair? Have you had any issues in the past. Is it worth the money to replace to them (£20?) to make a problem of this?

If it was me I'd let it go.

weirdsister · 30/03/2016 23:17

Won't chops be off by now?

FoundNeverland · 30/03/2016 23:18

And as above. Check it wasn't a member of your family before saying anything.

Honesttodog · 30/03/2016 23:19

Too pissed off to spell check obvs

So funny...I love chops, couldn't open the thread quick enough to see what sort had been pinched!!!

Honesttodog · 30/03/2016 23:20

Thanks for the meat storage advice tho

OP posts:
Honesttodog · 30/03/2016 23:22

Lack of respect for other people's stuff. Am dissatisfied with her as an au pair but agency said unlikely to sort replacement before May. So plodding on grimly.

RudeElf · 30/03/2016 23:22

Oooh! I'd be mad. Dont fuck with mummy's chocolate. Everyone knows that in our house. Feel for you OP. I agree with having a loud asking incident. Make sure s/he is in the room when you ask DH and Dc.

FoundNeverland · 30/03/2016 23:24

Can you find other help? Cleaner and/or nursery if she is so bad?

TheWitTank · 30/03/2016 23:24

I would get everyone together and say that you are really pissed off that someone has taken your chocolates and that you want whoever has done it to replace them with a new box and put them back where they were ASAP. You will be able to tell by the faces who did it I bet.

FoundNeverland · 30/03/2016 23:24

May seems a long time or wait if she is so awful...

Honesttodog · 30/03/2016 23:25

My kids literally cOuld not get to them without a grown up.

TalkMeDownPlease · 30/03/2016 23:25

Only clicked on this because I wondered how you kept chops fresh for so long. Hmm
Was wondering if au pair had done a stealth de-frost in microwave followed by a stealth grilling.

TalkMeDownPlease · 30/03/2016 23:26

Ps am in awe of your choc willpower

Honesttodog · 30/03/2016 23:27

Not awful. I did not use that word. Just immature and not bright at all.

OP posts:
Honesttodog · 30/03/2016 23:27

Awesome use of "stealth-defrost". Feel free to preen 😀

OP posts:
steff13 · 30/03/2016 23:28

How many were left? Weird that she would leave an empty box.

Honesttodog · 30/03/2016 23:29

Fucking fuckjust irrationally cRoss that someone ate the chocs and did not appreciate them.

OP posts:
Honesttodog · 30/03/2016 23:30

Fucking NONE. hence belief she ate and thought it would get blamed on someone else.

OP posts:
grapejuicerocks · 30/03/2016 23:31

Aren't you allowed chops on any other days than Mother's Day?

Ltb - this is totally unreasonable.

Muddlewitch · 30/03/2016 23:31

You need to do a dramatic 'what a day, I really need a chocolate' in front of them all then look Shock when you open the box.

Between this and the baby food munching guest there seem to be food snafflers round every corner...if anyone touches my giant chocolate buttons there will be hell to pay.
