I can stretch a box of chocolates out for months. Just went to have one and the fucking box was empty. Unlikely that DH are the, AS HE GAVE THEM TO ME. I put them on a shelf in the sideboard that neither child could reach.

WWYD?

Never said explicitly these are my special chocs don't touch but they are away from all other foods.

I'm less bothered by anything to do with the chocolates, and more bothered by the fact that you think your au pair is unintelligent because she can't use lego properly. I was an au pair years ago, and it was the best year of my life. The whole deal with au pairs is that you get very cheap and flexible childcare. in return, you accept that the au pair is a young and unqualified person, who likely isn't really interested in childcare as a career. She is also part of the family and should share in family treats.

If you want someone who is fully professional, well versed in childcare, and who isn't part of your family (so you don't have to share your chocolates), get a qualified nanny. Of course though, you'd then have to pay qualified nanny rates!!!
