Chewing muslins. I have no idea why I do it. But I love it. Freshly washed ones obviously, they just taste like fairy and smell so nice. Nobody apart from my baby knows I do this, it's just too weird.

I also have a mild binge eating thing. I like to stand in the kitchen eating bread slathered with ketchup whilst making the kids tea. I can't seem to stop myself!

When I'm feeling more highbrow I read Iris Murdoch whilst eating poncey artisan chocolate from our local deli.

Oh, and Betty Crocker's Chocolate Fudge Icing eaten straight from the tub with a spoon. I always eat the whole tub, obviously.

Cigars, the nice proper Cuban ones with a glass of brandy, wearing sparkly high heels and my feet propped up on a table watching the sunset. I do it about once a month. DH and I worked in Cuba for a couple of years and did this a lot, despite not being a smoker. We had to attend a lot of evening stuff and it was sort of expected. There was something so absurdly stereotypically 1950s masculine about it that I used to get a real kick out of it, I'm a bit strange!

Stars I am so of you having lived in Cuba. I've never smoked a cigar but love the smell so can easily understand how that would become a vice.

My 'secret' vices:

Writing fan porn fiction (ironically part of one was set in a cigar factory in Cuba - I shit you not )

Watching GemsTV - have never bought anything but I do like looking at the shinies

Spending far too much money on art materials and fibbing to DH about it

Wyrd It was amazing, I worked there before DH and I were together too (I'm a scientist and the Cuban Gov asked me to do some research, and then some follow up research for them). The poster above who mentioned Find A Death has reminded me; I sometimes spend a happy half hour reading the website of my local council's coroner's office. It details all the inquests that take place. I find the reports absolutely fascinating (and sad obviously), but I can't tell anyone that I do it as it's too morbid and weird.

I also like to look at photographs of celebrities taken after death and murder crime scenes. I blame the book 'Hollywood Babylon' that my DM had in our house when I was at a very impressionable age. The celebrity death photos were second to none.

I don't know if this counts but sometimes when making dd breakfast I stand there scoffing biscuits down my throat and deny all knowledge if she sees me doing it and asks for some. I think that makes me a bit of a bitch actually
