To hate it when my DP goes 'out out'

I don't even know why it bothers me so much. Maybe simply because I dont, and I don't see why he wants to.

DP said he was going out tonight with a friend (we don't live together), I had assumed he was going to the pub after work, just text me to saying he's going out now at 1030! That means he's going 'out out' and most likely clubbing and I'm really upset.

I trust him, Im not jealous because I don't enjoy it, but I'm still really annoyed/upset.

AIBU to think grown men shouldn't want to do this? Or am I a granny before my years? (DP is 27 btw)

I do the sort of going out that starts at maybe 10pm to midnight. Not clubbing, more after hours indi gigs. And I'm in my 50s, with 4 x DCs and a grown up job. So yes (in the nicest possible way) YABU. For what it's worth, my DH has no interest in coming with me, because it's not his sort of thing.

You are in the flush of youth from where I am standing. My dp is 'out, out' tonight. He is 38. Do you have kids? I get mildly annoyed because I can't sleep till he gets back then I have to get up with the kids in the morning. But I see this as my problem really.

Yes I think YABU. If he enjoys it then why not? What bothers you so much about it? DH is 30 and still goes 'out out' every now and then (although very rarely now we have a child)

I can't even pinpoint why I don't like it. Maybe because I hate drunk people (including him drunk) and I just don't 'get it'. To me clubbing is hell on earth. Sleazy men, slutty girls, terrible music, sweatiness...it's horrible. I suppose when I've been drinking I don't notice, as the sober one it's horrible.

I'm going out out tomorrow. And I'm 28 and a mother of two. I cannot wait!

My DP is 35 and still goes out out. I'm 28 and if I wasn't pregnant, I would still be going out out every weekend!

I went out out for dh's 30th a few weeks ago. I stayed out out til 8am, and will be 42 this year. I disproportionately proud of this fact.
