She seems so genuine and actually seemed to care. She came across as strong though which means she is pm material.

Ps I know its impossible but we all have hopes.

I'm Scottish, not a supporter of the SNP or independence, but I have a lot of admiration for her as a politician and a leader.

Izzy24 · 04/04/2015 10:59

Absolutely.

She seems to be here because she cares.

Not here in pursuit of personal power.

Love her, the only genuine one out there trying too make the world a better place

ZenNudist · 04/04/2015 11:06

Are you Scottish OP?

One solid performance on tv does not a leader make. I'm not Scottish so I can't comment on her record there but in not sure it will stand up to scrutiny when and if Ed has to let rip to try and protect his own party vote in Scotland.

She sure seems better compared to Alex Salmond.

I don't like Ed or Dave for PM but all told that is setting the bar very low.

I think I'd cherry pick policies from each party. Labours borrowing plans are worrying but Tories can't be trusted with education or NHS (or much else). I prefer some Scottish ideas such as free uni education, free prescriptions etc but don't know how that can be achieved for the wider nation.

Autocorrectisdumb · 04/04/2015 11:08

No not Scottish I would like to see an snp labour coalition.

OP posts:
StillLostAtTheStation · 04/04/2015 11:10

She's awful. Her ungracious behaviour and comments after the referendum make it clear she is not fit to be the pm of a country.

Icimoi · 04/04/2015 11:10

OP, is that on the strength of the TV debate or a considered analysis of SNP policies? In fact, has their manifesto come out yet?

BinarySolo · 04/04/2015 11:11

Love her, the only genuine one out there trying too make the world a better place

Not the world tho, just Scotland really. Having said that I agree she spoke with real passion and came across as a strong leader.

Izzy24 · 04/04/2015 11:13

I'm not Scottish. I'm not judging on the strength of one broadcast.

SukieTuesday · 04/04/2015 11:14

Rewind 5 years. Everyone said the same about Nick Clegg. How did that work out?

Behooven · 04/04/2015 11:16

YABU, there would be no UK to be PM of if she had her wish

Stick that in your pollster and smoke it Wink

derxa · 04/04/2015 11:29

Love her! I'm Scottish in SE England She's a lot more steely than her wee lassie image though. Good on her for stirring things up and sending creepy Jim packing

Noggie · 04/04/2015 11:43

I am scottish but not an snp voter- but do admire her intellect, ability to articulate her thoughts in all sorts of settings and her drive and commitment are great. Just don't agree at all with her party's main focus: independence!

RVPisnomore · 04/04/2015 11:44

Purplefrogshoes · 04/04/2015 11:46

Yabu!

TidyDancer · 04/04/2015 11:50

I think it would be dreadful for the UK as a whole if she was ever PM so thankfully it won't happen. If she was as passionate about the UK as she projects she is about Scotland then I could see what you mean OP. She is a politician though, and will say what she thinks will get her votes. Stating the bleeding obvious, I know, but it's easily forgotten at times.

I suspect that she is like all MP's and trying to make her world a better place.

roughtyping · 04/04/2015 12:08

I was not keen on her for a long time while she was health secretary, but she's really growing on me. She's been a good leader so far (yes, I live in Scotland) and generally I've been really happy with SNP government.

mummymeister · 04/04/2015 12:13

How can she be pm of the Uk when her party's main policy is to split it up? of course she can talk the talk about tuition fees or the lack of in Scotland. the barnet formula is the only reason she can do that. I really, really wish that the scots had gone independent. I don't want the SNP holding the balance of power in our parliament voting on laws which affect me and don't affect them.

we face the real prospect of the party second past the post forming the next government. and we call that democracy? Milibland is and always will be the worse sort of labour politician. wealthy and condescending. "hard working families" he has never had a job in his life.

Wee Nicola is doing exactly what BoneyBackJefferson says - making her world a better place.

Lloydgeorge · 04/04/2015 12:17

Nope I'm happy to have her as First Minister of Scotland. I rather have a Scottish party in Scotland that's main focus is Scotland. If we vote in Scottish Labour that won't happen. They have to do what Labour want as a whole even if that means selling Scotland down the river. Tories make it quite plain that they have no interest in Scotland so SNP are the best for my country. If they don't step up to the plate then Scotland can vote them out. Voting for SNP does not mean your voting for independence. I know lots of people who voted No and will vote for SNP on May 7th. It's is about having more control on what happens to us as a country.

Lloydgeorge · 04/04/2015 12:22

Correct me please if I'm wrong - even if Scotland vote SNP across the board isn't it England who really decides? Sorry Wales and N. Ireland. IF English folks don't vote for the Tories then it's surely them that caused the problem (Hung parliament).

CrystalCove · 04/04/2015 12:22

Well its irrelevant really as she doesnt want to be the PM of the UK and is the First Minster of Scotland.

queensansastark · 04/04/2015 12:23

YABU

The woman is passionate and sincere about breaking up the UK and is only focused in Scottish interests especially at the expense of the English, and clearly smirks at the very thought .
