She seems so genuine and actually seemed to care. She came across as strong though which means she is pm material.

Ps I know its impossible but we all have hopes.

Lets hope you're never asked to do Jury service.

tilliebob · 04/04/2015 16:02

Agreed LaLyra. I can't think of anything worse than NS as PM. Except perhaps Wee Eck as PM....

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/04/2015 16:03

I heard her on R4, she came across really well.

Not like every other "let me be clear" politician who just bullshits the interviewer. You can tell their reciting a script their adviser wrote overnight while coked up.

takemeuptheeiffeltower · 04/04/2015 16:03

Lets hope you're never asked to do Jury service.

I would be terrible!

Bakeoffcake · 04/04/2015 16:05

Yes we've already worked that out!

Chippednailvarnish · 04/04/2015 16:05

Well clearly Ed Miliband is just so good looking all because he's English!

Grin
takemeuptheeiffeltower · 04/04/2015 16:07

Ed Miliband good looking? Shock

takemeuptheeiffeltower · 04/04/2015 16:08

Thanks for giving me a good laugh

Bettercallsaul1 · 04/04/2015 16:09

Yes, you would. It would be trial by appearance.

LaLyra · 04/04/2015 16:14

I don't mind NS. As politicians go she's alright. At least you know what she believes in. She doesn't change her stance every five minutes depending on the latest opinion poll.

Obviously Britain wide she wouldn't be a good PM as she wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, although it would be the same situation as Scotland being landed with a Tory PM that wasn't voted for so if that's the way democracy goes (SNP/PC having a hand in decisions rather than being PM) this time round then so be it imo.

PrimalLass · 04/04/2015 16:17

I like her. I think she looks great actually, but wtaf does that have to do with her ability to do the job? Ridiculous, casual sexism.

dementedma · 04/04/2015 16:22

Her plans to fund an independent Scotland were based on taxes from assumed oil revenue. Now that the arse has fallen out of the oil prices, she would be well stuffed had her plans gone ahead. She speaks well but not sure of her grasp on economics!

RedToothBrush · 04/04/2015 16:22

The woman is passionate and sincere about breaking up the UK and is only focused in Scottish interests especially at the expense of the English, and clearly smirks at the very thought.

This, though I'm not sure she cares too much about the Scottish either tbh. More just getting one over on the English.

What a scary thought. The SNP have no morals and will say whatever is needed to get votes.

The price of oil. Independence would have meant IMF bail out. Nuff said.

VinoTime · 04/04/2015 16:23

I live in Scotland and I can't abide Mrs It's-Our-Pound or the SNP. It's crap because so many people do, and neither are going anywhere for a long time.

That being said, she did very well during the debate. It pains me to say it, but she did. Better than the rest of them - who all made me cringe.

She's an extreme left version of Thatcher. Too much arrogance. Her view is very narrow minded and she'll get her way by hook or by crook. She's already said she'll try for independence again, despite the referendum being sold as a one time in or out vote. She's so easily willing to just fan away what the No voters wanted because it's not what she wanted. Such contempt and disregard for over half the voting people.

PrimalLass · 04/04/2015 16:28

The thing about trying for independence again, is that the SNP has to represent the wishes of their members. Who clearly want independence given how many have joined up since September. To rule it out would be completely against their responsibility to those who pay membership fees.

StillLostAtTheStation · 04/04/2015 17:33

Exactly. Including the obvious make overs to try to make her look more appealing.

SoonToBeSix · 04/04/2015 17:34

I agree, I am not Scottish.

StillLostAtTheStation · 04/04/2015 17:37

Primal she's supposed in the meantime to be first minister of the whole of Scotland. Her attitude after the defeat was to pour scorn on 55% of those who voted. She was very happy to peddle the too scared/too selfish line.

PrimalLass · 04/04/2015 17:38

Do any of the PMs in Westminster ever pretend to represent everyone?

PrimalLass · 04/04/2015 17:39

And yet more criticism of her appearance.

StillLostAtTheStation · 04/04/2015 17:44

Yes, I'm criticising her appearance- what of it? It's only one of many reasons I don't like her.

Your comment about individual Westminster MPs is irrelevant. Immediately after the victory Eck and wee Nicola should have accepted the majority decision gracefully and moved towards conciliation. That would be the mark of a true stateman and leader.

PrimalLass · 04/04/2015 17:48

It would be against the wishes of the 100000 party members. As a fee-paying SNP member I'd be pissed off and cancel my membership if the party's main agenda was dropped.

And it's like saying that X party lost in the general election so should just change all their policies. Hypocritical - they should stand for what they stand for.

And I think going on about how she looks is childish and just stupid.

PrimalLass · 04/04/2015 17:49

And I said Westminster PMs not MPs.

BoneyBackJefferson · 04/04/2015 18:55

I see on the news that she has gone in to full defensive mode about the email/memo.

I wonder how long it will be before its discovered that it was a lowly aid with a grudge that send it.

OTheHugeManatee · 04/04/2015 18:58

LOL OP Grin

Remember when they said the same things about Nick Clegg?
