She seems so genuine and actually seemed to care. She came across as strong though which means she is pm material.

Ps I know its impossible but we all have hopes.

I think if she got the pm job she would look after everyone in their own country and help them separate to become better as individuals

She's awful. Her ungracious behaviour and comments after the referendum make it clear she is not fit to be the pm of a country

Totally agree.

She is just like every other politician, self serving with the only aim of forwarding their own agenda.

ljwales · 04/04/2015 12:33

Sorry but the UK is like being in an abusive relationship. People don't want to leave it as its hard, but things will be better once we all separate. It will come eventually

Greysanderson · 04/04/2015 12:37

Erm no, a good television performance does not make for a good PM. Also she is part of a party that wants to split the UK I am glad Labour have ruled out having a coalition with them.

PatrickStarxx · 04/04/2015 12:48

Yabu. I should be pm.

Mrsjayy · 04/04/2015 12:53

I really like her and i think she is a good first minister but i was fooled by nick clegg in his debate that didnt turn out great did it

Rebecca2014 · 04/04/2015 12:55

I wish Scotland just voted for independence. If SNP get in with Labour, how is that going do the whole of the UK any good? Sturgeon only cares about Scotland, no other country in the UK matters to her.

queensansastark · 04/04/2015 12:58

I don't want UK to break up, but wished that they did get independence and got what they wished for.

Coffeethrowtrampbitch · 04/04/2015 12:58

I did about die laughing when she said 'I'm not defending him!' about Ed Miliband.

She's a good politician and Scotland benefits from having her. But she'll be staying in Scotland, the SNP MP's will go to Westminster, not the MSP's.

It will be interesting because SNP, Greens and Plaid were all scathing about austerity as a policy, and clearly none of them will vote for cuts. Will the Tories and Lib Dems suffer voting for Labour policies rather than admit austerity is a terrible failure? And what will it cost them in votes if the electorate see them club together to maintain power and influence?

Interesting times.

Sorry but Scotland got what it wanted. To stay in the UK!

Fugacity · 04/04/2015 14:03

What a scary thought. The SNP have no morals and will say whatever is needed to get votes.

Plus, she absolutely has to work on her diction and get rid of that glottal stop.

StillLostAtTheStation · 04/04/2015 14:04

I can't bear listening to her. Everything about her annoys from her class war politics, her insulting and patronising attitude towards the 55% who voted against independence down to her helmet hair, horrible wee dress and jacket outfits (I love the way she gets regular make overs which never work) to her irritating voice.

pinkje · 04/04/2015 14:05

She CAN'T be, can she?

She is an MSP not an MP.

YABU.

Applecross · 04/04/2015 14:07

Loathe her, I generally try and support women in politics but she's just as bad as Salmond, the SNP are reckless thugs who would've emiserated Scotland if they'd gotten their way, they can't afford their policies and it depresses me that so many people think they are competent.

ljwales · 04/04/2015 14:13

If she won she would get rid of the bedroom tax, and give free prescriptions and education to all. Some people are looking very silly by not supporting her. Mum just had varicose veins Done for free as lives in Scotland. Would be 3k in England!

Varya · 04/04/2015 14:17

Can't stand her and neither can DH who is Scottish.

DidoTheDodo · 04/04/2015 14:17

Easy things to say ljwales but how is she going to pay for all this? Not through oil revenues, that's for sure.

She already provides all of those for Scotland. Just taxing bankers and stopping tax avoidance would easily earn enough.

ShakesBootyFlabWobbles · 04/04/2015 14:19

I respect her drive and success, but YABU to want her as UK PM as her fundamental belief is to break it up.

Of course she's following an agenda. She's an elected representative. That's how it works. She is popular in Scotland. The SNP are popular in Scotland - more so,amazingly, since the referendum! She knows her stuff and talks with conviction - unlike others who perform all sorts of contortions to stick to a safe party line.
Is it so incredible that many Scots are, by and large, happy/ satisfied with their Government?
Saddened that some people on here are resorting to personal attacks rather than reasoned argument.

frostyfingers · 04/04/2015 14:28

*She seems to be here because she cares.

Not here in pursuit of personal power.

trying too make the world a better place*

They all seem like this at the start......
