Ok so earlier, my friend sent me a photo of this dress asking what colour it was, I replied 'white and gold, why?', she said it's blue and black.. I replied no of course it's not.. I shared it to facebook, and some people think it's blue and black and some people think it's white and gold.. and it has just changed! I refreshed the page to see the most recent comments and it changed colour!! Now I can only see blue and black.. AM I GOING MAD?!

I can only see white and gold......but I'm a bit rubbish at things like that, I could never see anything in those magic eye pictures either!

StaircaseAtTheUniversity · 27/02/2015 00:11

Someone shared this to my FB and I could only see it in white and gold. But this one looks blue and black to me. My brain hurts!!

magicstar1 · 27/02/2015 00:11

Looks white and gold to me

MaudeLebowski · 27/02/2015 00:11

Mine too - I can only see black and blue.

chlo95 · 27/02/2015 00:12

I am boggled!! I thought they were winding me up saying it was blue and black but DP said it too.. Now I only see blue and black!!

I can't see white and gold at all. What sorcery is this!?

Rocksie · 27/02/2015 00:15

I'm really trying to see blue and black but it looks white and gold to me.

MaudeLebowski · 27/02/2015 00:16

Twitter is trying to explain it now:

BlackeyedSusan · 27/02/2015 00:17

depends on where I am looking at the picture from. lookingup at the screen from below the gold darkens to balck and the white looks blue. when looking at oit from higher angle it looks white and gold, however, the white bands seem to be in shade and are textured, with light blue not true white.

cozietoesie · 27/02/2015 00:20

View it differently by putting your screen at a different angle. It will change colour then.

chlo95 · 27/02/2015 00:21

Wow thanks MaudeLebowski, that's really interesting.. just wondering though, if it's colour blindness, why is it that when I initially looked at the pic I was adamant that it was white and gold but now I'm seeing it as black and blue.. maybe to be with wanting to see it as black and blue.. Not sure!

It's blue and black, how on earth can you see gold?

MaudeLebowski · 27/02/2015 00:22

Its blue at all angles and screen brightnesses to me. Come to think of it, my sister has told me I'm getting blue and green mixed up before.

Is this something I need testing over? Confused

whothehellknows · 27/02/2015 00:24

I've just contorted myself all over the place and I can only see blue and black. Is this some evil trick?

Fanjango · 27/02/2015 00:25

I can only see blue/black. On iPhone so maybe pic doesn't work so well on it?

countessmarkyabitch · 27/02/2015 00:26

It's white and gold, from all angles. Not remotely blue or black. I have no idea what you are talking about!

chlo95 · 27/02/2015 00:27

At first it was gold and white at all angles for me on iPhone, now it's blue and black for all angles for me on iPhone.. So weird!

I would've been satisfied with that explanation if it wasn't for you seeing both chlo. Now I won't be able to sleep Angry

TellingTheBees · 27/02/2015 00:29

It's blue and black for me too.

BlackeyedSusan · 27/02/2015 00:30

wer you looking at it in day light before though and now artificial light?

cozietoesie · 27/02/2015 00:31

Twitter must be a bit behind the times, Maude - this seeming illusion/picture was first posted about in the 'other place' in May 2014 I think?

BlackeyedSusan · 27/02/2015 00:32

if the screen is automatically adjusting for background light you may be getting fdiifferent colours. as the white in the gold white picture is blueish white then it is easy to see how with less light from the picture you now see blue. same with the gold less light from the gold section, see black.

HappyHippyChick · 27/02/2015 00:32

Gold and white for me.

BlackeyedSusan · 27/02/2015 00:34

look at the right of the screen, the background of the photo is very brightly lit, presenting as white on screen., the stripes on the dress are greyish blue, even in the gold/ white picture. they are a lot darkerthan the background light.

WhyHasTheGinGone · 27/02/2015 00:34

Blue and black straight on, but if I tilt my laptop screen towards me it's white and gold. Madness!!!
