I know Kanye West is a monumental douchecanoe but this line from his latest song with Paul McCartney is a step too far even for him.

I have CP and I never act like massive bellend Kanye.

AIBU to think Paul McCartney might have refused to put his name to a song that uses that line?

isn't he saying spas as in spasm?

WyrdByrd · 18/02/2015 08:31

YANBU.

But then I think PMcC is a complete muppet too tbh.

Mrsstarlord · 18/02/2015 08:32

Bellends, both.

RJnomore · 18/02/2015 08:34

Really?

I most ignore Kanye ( and macca to be fair) but wow. Not on.

ChipDip · 18/02/2015 08:36

Yanbu, awful from both of them. No doubt all their fans will see this as normal language which goes against trying to get rid of this language.

Chertsey · 18/02/2015 08:37

I don't know the song, but why does Kayne get all the blame if it's a joint thing with McCartney?

I really struggle with "spaz" and it's variations. DS2's friends use Spazattack a lot. They don't mean anything by it. They don't have a clue what it means/where it comes from, as I discovered when I asked one of them to stop. I was properly shocked and reacted sharply. He had no idea it was a "bad" word, it's so widely used. He knows now, but I suspect the only thing it's changed is that he now thinks DS2's mum is a strange stroppy cow, rather than changing his behaviour. He hasn't been back since...

Aeroflotgirl · 18/02/2015 08:42

Well what do you expect from a knob, who refused to sing unless his disabled audience stood up!

MissPenelopeLumawoo2 · 18/02/2015 08:44

I'm with you. I think it is a horrible phrase.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 18/02/2015 08:45

It's Kanye's line but as I said in my first post, I'm more surprised Paul McCartney was happy to put his name to it.

Awful.

PinkSquash · 18/02/2015 08:54

Nasty. Kanye is a bellend.

CaptainAnkles · 18/02/2015 08:55

Ugh. Horrible word.

ThatBloodyWoman · 18/02/2015 08:56

I am Shock

I'm the mum who tells other people's kids not to use the word, and explain why,if I hear it.
There's no way I find it acceptable from grown 'men'.

CaptainCunt · 18/02/2015 09:06

YANBU. awful. It seems more commonly used in the US than here, even by people who should know better. No excuse.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 18/02/2015 18:22

A member of my own family uses 'spaz' in front of me. It really upsets me.

OP posts:
CurlsLDN · 18/02/2015 18:29

Are you sure you're hearing it right? Only reading through the lyrics I can't see anything that says that or sounds like it?
Lyrics are here...

ouryve · 18/02/2015 18:32

Well, if that's the song concerned (no idea, not heard it) then it's sentimental tripe, anyhow, even without that line.

snowglobemouse · 18/02/2015 18:33

I can't get het up about spaz. Shrug. The origins are horrible but its sort of taken on its own meaning which has nothing to do with 'spastic'

CurlsLDN · 18/02/2015 18:34

Well, yes, but it's written by Kanye about his now deceased mother talking to her grandchild.
I'm not a fan of Kanye, Btw, Or the song, but seems like some people are laying into it without hearing it here!

NoArmaniNoPunani · 18/02/2015 18:36

The title of my post is directly from the lyrics. It's called 4 5 seconds

OP posts:
Creatureofthenight · 18/02/2015 18:37

I think it's from Four Five Seconds, the one that's got Rihanna as well, not the one that's linked to above.

Awful. No YANBU. I am not surprised at Kanye West but I am at Paul McCartney. Offensive and inappropriate.

hazeyjane · 18/02/2015 18:41

It is a different song, not Only One, but Four Five Seconds

here

SusanIvanova · 18/02/2015 18:42

Its more commonly used in the states. Not the same stigma against it.
