A friend has just told me that last weekend her Dm took her then 12 day old baby to the coast for the weekend in a touring caravan without her. I know it is non of my business really but I am just a bit shocked that anyone would want there new baby away from them in a cold damp caravan in January, it must have been freezing ConfusedShock.

Ok I will admit I am being unreasonable, I didn't say anything to her i just thought about it after she went and thought it seemed a unusual thing to do. I suppose it just shocked me as it would not be something I would consider doing myself unless there was literally no other option, I would worry sending my newborn down the road never mind a couple of hours away. I will stand corrected that caravans are no longer cold and damp, from memory the last time I went in one there was no such thing as heating in them just a small gas fire to huddle around!

True honeydragon. I feel a little redeemed now.

Ineedanewone · 14/01/2015 23:06

Thanks for the update Giles!
I developed a 3rd nipple when I had my pfb but sadly on my waist so of no use whatsoever! Whipped off by an over eager doctor under a local just in case it turned weird, but probably more because we had private insurance at the time :-))

Honeydragon · 14/01/2015 23:07

You can judge me though, I worked for it.

Honeydragon · 14/01/2015 23:07

What did they mean by turned weird?

Honeydragon · 14/01/2015 23:10

Whoaaaah, HANG ON.

It just turned up when you were pregnant? Like a spare?

That's sort of cool.

Mainly weird, but a bit cool.

Did it gradually arrive or just appear overnight?

Late entries SummerMincePieHaircut and Ineedanewthirdnipple are making an impressive run up the back straight. This race is not over yet.

To be honest I' m not sure I recall as said pfb is in her 20s but I think he thought it could be some sort of naughty mole. Nowadays I could have made a fortune by seeing if would have let it grown into a full blown 3rd mammary!

Honeydragon · 14/01/2015 23:15

Wow, then you could've been in the remake of Total Recall and met Colin Farrell. Stoopid over zealous Doctor and his scalpel.

Ineedanewone · 14/01/2015 23:15

It developed in pregnancy!

Honeydragon · 14/01/2015 23:17

I'm very impressed, and peeved. I feel like I missed out now. Two babies no extra nipples Sad

Ineedanewone · 14/01/2015 23:18

I went to have 3 more babies but now my only extra tit is DH !!!!!!!!!!!

Honeydragon · 14/01/2015 23:19

Grin quite a substantial extra tit though? Probably less deserving of a scalpel though.

Ineedanewone · 14/01/2015 23:19

( actually DH is not a tit, he's ok really!)

Italiangreyhound · 14/01/2015 23:19

I wouldn't have wanted anyone to take my 12 day old baby anywhere without me unless it was absolutely necessary.

Gileswithachainsaw · 14/01/2015 23:20
Grin
softlysoftly · 14/01/2015 23:20

Poor bald baby! But you missed a trick you should have covered your tracks with one of those lovely baby headbands.

I left DD3 at 3 months with my 5 and 2 year olds in her bouncy chair while I went to make dinner thinking they were firmly engrossed in the discovery channel ok nick jnr but got to keep up with Honey Dragons latin reading dc. Only to hear a squawk. Ran back through to realise they'd made a hobby horse show jumping course with DD3 as the finale. Apparantly my eldest got 4 faults Hmm

That's got to get me some shit mother points surely?

I did learn my lesson about safety btw!

Gileswithachainsaw · 14/01/2015 23:22

That's just made me snort softly

Ineedanewone · 14/01/2015 23:22

He sucumb to a scalpel on the nether regions to prevent any more dcs!

Honeydragon · 14/01/2015 23:22

Bloody bouncy chairs ....they lull you into a false sense of security, we should probably warn people.

Honeydragon · 14/01/2015 23:23

Your dh is a very nice noble tit indeed.

FightOrFlight · 14/01/2015 23:24

< and now I'm Claire Baldwin >

Italiangreyhound is coming up fast on the inside rail bringing the thread back on topic. Only time will tell if this tactic is effective or if they've left it too late.

Honeydragon · 14/01/2015 23:25

There was a topic?! Where?! I love Topics. All nougat really.

ExitPursuedByABear · 14/01/2015 23:27

I beg to differ with you all about a caravan. We go to a lovely static caravan with central heating and all sorts of luxuries which is fab. In June. We went one October half term and fuck me but it was freezing.

I had to sleep with the dog!
