Not at all. If I didn't love my wicker shopping basket as much as I do, I'd buy one as well! Much easier than schlepping a load of carrier bags around which cost 5p each in Wales so it would pay for itself eventually Smile

AdmitYouKnowImRight · 22/09/2014 17:16

LOL my V V V male gay cousin has one and he's in his 20's. They are THE in thing!

JustMarriedBecca · 22/09/2014 17:16

I'm 32, shop at Gap (i'm not cool enough for Topshop) and I have one. They're too handy for London living. I've had one from Amazon and the quality was a bit rubbish. I'm a fan of the Argos ones that are about £22. Very sturdy and you can take a run and jump off the bus onto the pavement when full. Just watch out if you've bought eggs.

AlpacaLypse · 22/09/2014 17:17

I love mine. It's shocking pink. It swallows all the stuff that I used to shove in the tray under the buggy when they were small.

However the children are mortified with embarrassment by it!

Finola1step · 22/09/2014 17:18

I've got an ikea one. Love it.

Futurebird · 22/09/2014 17:18

Oooh! I thought everyone would laugh at me.

There are two brilliant shops at the end of my road and I hate driving to them just because i'm buying loads and if I carry the worlds heaviest carrier bags it always ends up being the day my toddlers legs stop working.

YANBU!

I really want one. Now DS hardly uses his buggy I have nothing to carry shopping on. And carrying bags and handling a toddler is too difficult. I wish I had the balls to get one. I'm 23 and think I'd feel like a twat.

Futurebird · 22/09/2014 17:19

Ha Cundt, that's how I feel!

Now, who's gonna find me a sexy one?

In Spain everyone young or old, all walks of life uses them and it's perfectly normal.

Whippet81 · 22/09/2014 17:20

I love it actually. Carry on.

I remember a young lad delivering leaflets for is once where I used to work and he was made to drag one around and was mortified - not helped by us knocking the window and waving when he stomped off down the road.

I don't know why they're seen as frumpy at the end of the day it saves your arms being pulled out and your bag being all buggered up ponders buying one

Bluecarrot · 22/09/2014 17:20

Before these were cool I bought a duffel bag style suitcase with wheels and used it. Holds loads and everyone just assumes you are travelling somewhere. Mine actually had backpack straps on it too which is great til its full and too heavy to carry.

PacificDogwood · 22/09/2014 17:20

YANBU.
I want one too.
I miss no longer having a pram to overload put shopping on.

How about this? Grin

Futurebird · 22/09/2014 17:21

They seem really bloody sensible to me. What is the point of carrying really heavy annoying bags?

MollyBdenum · 22/09/2014 17:21

I love mine. It is a super-swanky one that folds up to hang on the back of a shopping trolley.

Whippet81 · 22/09/2014 17:21

That should have said 'back' not bag.

Whenever I trek from the bus stop with my heavy bags thanks TFL for moving it twice as far away I vow to get one for my 40th birthday.
It's silly but I really would feel old if I got one before then.
Only just over a year to go Sad
