If you are thinking for yourself then YANBU however if you are thinking for others yabu

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 10/07/2014 23:39

Yes yabu
Unless it's you you're talking about and you feel too old

Only1scoop · 10/07/2014 23:39

I had my dd at 37. Wish I'd have started a family slightly earlier. 35 is not even considered old mum these days.

milkysmum · 10/07/2014 23:41

Gosh no I dont think so- I know plenty of women having children in mid to late 30's

Midori1999 · 10/07/2014 23:42

I don't think it is. I've had two babies since 35. If you think it's too old for you though, that's fine, don't have any after that.

WadingThroughCustard · 10/07/2014 23:43

I personally think its too old........for me.

But for others its up to them.

ThatBloodyWoman · 10/07/2014 23:44

YABU.
Plenty of us have had babies (even first babies) at 35+.

DrewsWife · 10/07/2014 23:45

I had one at18 I'm now 37 and expecting one. 35 is young

SaVred · 10/07/2014 23:45

ha ha

no

so glad my 20s were child free, I know people that had children in their 20s don't know what they missed though.

FavaBeanPyramidScheme · 10/07/2014 23:45

I hope not, I'm 34 and want another 3! Bring on the triplets?

HauntedNoddyCar · 10/07/2014 23:46

Yabu. Hadn't had my first at 35.

Alisvolatpropiis · 10/07/2014 23:47

For yourself or for others?

peppercold · 10/07/2014 23:47

First at 26, second at 35 currently 25 weeks with my third at41! So Yabu.

ouryve · 10/07/2014 23:47

YABVU.

I only had my first at 34. My second, at 36, was easier, if anything.

myusernameis · 10/07/2014 23:47

My partner is 36 and I'm pregnant with our first.. I don't think he's too old. Yabu.

Eminybob · 10/07/2014 23:47

I hope not, I'm 34 and expecting my first. I plan to have another. I may be nearly 40 by then!

teeththief · 10/07/2014 23:48

Thank you all! Will show this to DH tomorrow. I have DS (9) and DD(7). DD is so desperate for a younger sibling and I really want another one too. My parents had 6 children before they were 30 which is making me think 35 is old I guess

StackALee · 10/07/2014 23:48

Yes.

Tangerinefairy · 10/07/2014 23:48

Yabu. I felt perfectly young and able enough at 35 to have my 2nd. Unfortunately it didn't happen but I didn't feel old at all. I definitely do now in my mid 40s but know others who are mums of young babies at 40 plus.

TaytoCrisp · 10/07/2014 23:48

Why is it too old?

Yanbu in relation to to yourself, but yabvu if you think the same for others.

teeththief · 10/07/2014 23:49

I explained in my last pos taytocrisp

RedSoloCup · 10/07/2014 23:51

Well I'm 37 and do feel a bit old for another, have 8yo, 7yo and 3yo but to be fair if we could afford another (bigger house being main thing holding us back) I would probably have another anyway :-)...

ShadyLadyT · 10/07/2014 23:51

Ha! Had first one at 36. Second one at 38. Am currently heavily pregnant with third, at 42. Stopping now, but je ne regrette rien! Or that's to say: I do slightly wish I had been a bit younger but I haven't felt "too old" with any of my pregnancies.

TaytoCrisp · 10/07/2014 23:51

X-post!
I'm 40 and 28 weeks pregnant... My DH is very excited, it's not so bad! (had dd1 aged 36).

Babybellyblues · 10/07/2014 23:52

A personal judgment call to make.

For me personally it would be. But I left myself a very small personal choice window of opportunity for babies. Late 20s to early 30s Grin. Fortunately it worked for me.

I didn't want to waste my 20s being tied down and having babies and I didn't want to have young children when I reached my 40s
