Subway - Halal issue

I feel a bit annoyed that 200 Subway stores are removing their Ham and Bacon due to requests from their Muslim customers.

I think the process of producing Halal meat is cruel, but obviously that isn't an issue to Subway.

There are plenty of Subway stores that advertise their pork as being Halal so why this? It's not earth shattering stuff but ...

Should I move to a muslim country and want to open a strip club would that be allowed?

I agree with you. It is a disgrace, especially as NZ prides itself on its animal husbandry, and generally farms them a lot more humanely than other countries.

Over 600,000 animals are bled to death without stunning in abattoirs EVERY WEEK in line with kosher and halal requirements. Your 2% does not look so small now does it softly

Can anyone work in a Halal or Kosher production plant?

Are there any religious restrictions prohibiting anyone from other faiths to gain employment in these places?

I am more than a little at all the objections to halal meat because the slaughter technique is "barbaric".

Do you have any idea what all animals in the meat industry endure throughout their short lives? ALL abattoirs are barbaric places. The animals you buy in Tesco did not know kindness, compassion, respect or dignity at any stage of their lives or deaths.

If you don't object to that and still buy meat, but condemn halal practices, then you are a massive hypocrite.

Try 88% of halal slaughter are stunned rather than 98% from the FSA report 2012
That leaves hundreds of thousands of animals that are not stunned.

A food program also showed a pizza chain, cant rememever which one doesnt put ham on pizzas as advertised its turkey ham.

A very small % of muslims believe the animal should not be stunned, and there is a small% of meat that is supposed to be stunned but isnt.
