to ask how many times you dcs wear their uniforms before you wash them?

Dr is a very clean little girl and always has a fresh polo for school but I have to admit if her dress and cardigan are clean after school she will sometimes wear them for a second day.
Do your dcs have a freshly washed uniform every day? Am I a terrible mother lol...

Fresh uniform everyday...my ds never comes home with a uniform clean enough to be worn again!

Clean blouse everyday, but pinafore two maybe three days. They have pinnys to wear when they do anything messy.

3 of the 4 wear it 2 days in a row. My DS1 is never clean enough to wear half way through a school day let alone the following day. I actually have no idea how he manages to get himself so dirty. Confused

clean every day.
btw clean doesn't mean freshly washed imo.
up to 3 days, unless dirty. the polo shirt up to 2 days.

If it doesn't need washing then it doesn't need washing. No point washing it just for the sake of it.

New polo shirt, socks & underwear everyday, trousers every 2-3 days unless dirty, jumper the same.
Jumper hardly gets worn as he takes it off as soon as he gets into school as he gets too hot.

Mine had a clean shirt every day, but would wear trousers and jumpers/sweatshirts for two days barring accidents and mess.

Jumper gets changed almost every day because it's usually filthy. Trousers & polos every 2 days or so. In summer I imagine it will be daily

Unless its actually dirty, which is rare, DS has clean on Monday-Wednesday then a second full set for Thursday and Friday. I have 1 other spare shirt in case he needs it but he never does.

Its not like they sweat at a young age so unless its actually got mud or food on then its not necessary to have clean each day. He does have to get changed when he comes home though.

Only change the layers next to skin daily. Jumpers/ blazers etc worn few days if clean still

Older dd is 9 and her cardigan always goes for a few days but she has clean shirt and trousers daily. My 6 year old DD is a hoyden and always comes home filthy so she has to have everything changed including cardigan. Hmm

My dc's have 2 sets of uniform so stuff gets worn for 2-3 days in a row before changing. Obv if it is stained or dirty they get clean but they can usually manage at least a couple of days without stains.

My DD changes my DGCs shirts every day and DGD has clean uniform skirt every 2 days DGS has change of trousers as and when Hmm some days he comes home clean some days not,they don't wear jumpers/cardigans as they have blazers on all day

OMG I'm such a skank.....DS gets fresh uniform every MOnday and if it doesn't get dirty then it doesn't get changed........he's not a sweaty kid though, I imagine as he gets a bit older it will need changing a bit more.

Clean every day. I practically have to hose him down when I get him home because they have a grassy area in the playground and he comes home absolutely plastered in mud. We have three winter coats on the go for the same reason. He's only 6 though - when he's older and in the junior yard I'm hoping I'll be able to get two days out of a uniform at least occasionally!

Depends on if it is clean or not. Preferably 2 days, have managed 3 days (maximum 2 days from the white shirts though) on occasion. It only hoes on the wash if it is actually dirty!

Sweatshirts and trousers get worn for as long as possible - I use a flannel to remove any splodges here and there rather than wash the whole thing.

Fresh shirt each day.

I am always telling DC not to just dump perfectly wearable clothes in wash basket. Such a waste of water and detergent and energy, all that washing/drying/ironing.

Ds (10)generally gets through two sets of uniform per week

Dd (12) generally changes her blouse every two days but she only wears it hslf the day. Her leotards get hand washed daily. She lost her school skirt & another has been in order since Jan so her skirt has to last the week.

well, I am obviously filthy, although judging from other threads, the answer you gets does depend a bit on the question!

They all wear white polos for second day in winter, unless spilt on/covered in pen. Summer they have clean everyday.

ds (11) wears same trousers and sweatshirt all week, unless spillage. (sweatshirt rarely worn in the classroom)

dd1 (9) used to need clean trousers everyday, due to being slow to go to the loo, she has finally passed that and wears either one or two pairs in a week, depending on cleanliness, same cardi though.

dd2 usually wears pinafore all week, unless spilt on, but more often she switches between pinafore, trousers and skirt depending on her mood and if she fancies wearing tights today (sigh)

Clean polo shirt every day. DD skirt or trousers and DSs trousers or shorts and their jumpers and cardigans are inspected each night to see if they have any marks on or are dirty. If not they are reborn, up to a maximum of 3 times, before washing.

Washing these things every day if they aren't dirty is very bad for the environment.

dd's blouses changed every day, skirt and cardigan every 2-3 days, socks and underwear daily.

ds1- shirt changed everyday, trousers usually as well, as he bikes to school and its still very muddy on the cycle paths and he 'forgets' to put his waterproof trousers on over the top. jumper changed 2-3 times a week. Blazer gets washed every few weeks, usually because its got mud splattered up the back from cycling.
