Dr is a very clean little girl and always has a fresh polo for school but I have to admit if her dress and cardigan are clean after school she will sometimes wear them for a second day.
Do your dcs have a freshly washed uniform every day? Am I a terrible mother lol...

DS has got two jumpers so they normally do 2-3 days, then he gets a fresh one, unless they get filthy in the meantime. Minor dirt gets sponged off. Same with trousers.
He's got enough polo shirts to wear a clean one every day but he'll wear them again if they stay clean (rare in the summer when he doesn't wear his jumper over them)
He doesn't change when he gets home, usually.

MrsR 10yo DS can get away with things.
When they get to Yr 6 the hormones hit the fan Grin

My teenager sometimes needs his blazer washed Envy

lynniep · 07/03/2014 14:16

depends on the dirt factor.
DS1 is 7.
trousers lastup to 3 days.
polo shirts usually don't last more than 1, but if there's no grime on the front 2.
Jumper lasts all week unless he loses it first.

LittleprincessinGOLDrocks · 07/03/2014 14:21

Fresh uniform every day for both of my DC. Though this is mostly down to the mud pie making DS gets up to in pre school, and the muck magnet DD.
If they could keep their cardigans / jumpers clean then I would let them wear them 2 / 3 days, trousers/ skirt 2 days, much like I do with non uniform clothing.

LittleprincessinGOLDrocks · 07/03/2014 14:23

Kotinka I have a boy and a girl. DD is just as mucky (sometimes more so) than her younger brother.

rainbowfeet · 07/03/2014 14:27

Clean everyday as dd has lots of uniform but when she starts high school I won't be able to afford probably more than a couple of shirts, jumpers & skirts.. So either it'll have to be washed every day or she'll have to get 2 days out of skirt & jumper! Hmm

TheReluctantCountess · 07/03/2014 14:35

Ds has fresh everyday, polo, jumper and trousers. He somehow always manages to look very scruffy when we pick him up.
Mind you, he is in his uniform from seven am until after six pm.

Hoofdegebouw · 07/03/2014 14:39

When its dirty - sometimes a jumper can last a week (though usually lost before Friday!) sometimes clean stuff every day - yogurt main culprit.
If its still passable, it goes back on.

Naicecuppatea · 07/03/2014 14:41

Every day usually for everything. She is in Reception and it comes usually covered in marks. I have also seen the toilets that she has to use and would rather wash all her clothes and her at the end of the day!

SugarplumKate · 07/03/2014 14:41

As long as they aren't filthy, they don't have clean. In my defence,I have 4 kids, already do at least 14 loads of washing per week - not a chance I'm warn uniform every day (undies apart). Actually I have to prise shirts off ds1 and force him to wear a clean one (he is almost 14....).

SugarplumKate · 07/03/2014 14:42

Oh yes, yoghurt has a lot to answer for!!

higgle · 07/03/2014 14:44

My sons had new polo shirts every day in the summer but in the winter made two sets of school clothes last a week. They wore T shirt style vests under the shirts anyway.

ShoeWhore · 07/03/2014 14:44

Mine wear things as many times as possible. I only wash them if they are dirty and we haven't reached the sweaty stage yet (although I am bracing myself!).

Unfortunately the bigger two appear to have taken up mud wrestling at lunchtime so at the moment not much is lasting them longer than a day. Youngest not allowed on the field if it's muddy so we get quite a few days out of it before it hits the wash.

Inertia · 07/03/2014 14:45

Clean undies, socks, polo shirt each day.

skirt/trousers/dress cardigan generally lasts 2 days, but they have clean ones if needed.

miaowmix · 07/03/2014 14:46

Same as inertia, exactly

insanityscatching · 07/03/2014 14:48

Dd has clean daily whether they are dirty or not tbh just because it's a habit I think.

ShoeWhore · 07/03/2014 14:48

We obviously have clean undies and socks each day.

I am curious about how many people change their dcs' polo shirts daily though. Do they spill lots down them? I just don't find my lot get that dirty and they aren't old enough to get smelly yet.

Xalla · 07/03/2014 14:48

Clean every day but he's 5 and likes playing football in the rather muddy school playing field... I wouldn't have a problem with him wearing them for a second or even third day if they were clean.

Taz1212 · 07/03/2014 14:50

DD will wear hers a couple of days in a row. DS will wear his trousers a couple of times but his shirts are changed daily- unbelievable ring around the collar! Sweaty boy!

5madthings · 07/03/2014 14:50

Clean polo shirts and shirts everyday as they are white and get dirty quickly!

But trousers, jumpers and blazers can last a few days, I tend to sponge the blazers down and ditto the trousers if they just have a bit of mud on them. Then wash trousers and blazers at end of week. Polos and shirts they have enough for a week and then I do a hot white wash at the weekend.

AWimbaWay · 07/03/2014 14:51

If it's not dirty they wear it all week. Obviously change underwear daily. They're only 6 and 8 so don't get BO yet. If they get food, dirt, paint or whatever on it then it gets washed, otherwise why bother? My 3 yr old however is always filthy and probably goes through two outfits a day.

ThatBloodyWoman · 07/03/2014 14:53

Skirts, shirts and cardis until there is food, paint, mud or blood on them.

The rest changed daily.

LadyEnglefield · 07/03/2014 14:54

Clean pants/tights/pinafores daily.

Clean polo shirts/sweatshirts every other day unless the dirty.

I tend to 'rotate' clean sweatshirts and pinafores so that I only wash them every few days IYSWIM.

saidnooneever · 07/03/2014 14:55

Teenagers x 2 wear trousers and sweatshirt all week unless dirty. Fresh white polo each day (only happy with that as they don't get ironed Smile )

Some of you must spend a lot of time washing and ironing uniforms.
