Asked my bumps daddy not to drink at home?

Ok so bump isn't that big yet but asked my other half to not drink at home as I know I am really gonna miss our nights in with a few drinks and a take away etc.
He thinks I'm being unreasonable but I don't think I am?
I have changed my diet, routine and of course my body is changing too so I don't think its much to ask to keep alcohol out the house?

YABU
And the rest.

BoundandRebound · 05/06/2013 23:30

Yabu

LastTangoInDevonshire · 05/06/2013 23:31

Jeez - 'bumps daddy'........almost as bad as 'baby daddy'. So, for that, YABU.

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 05/06/2013 23:31

YABU

VestandKnickers · 05/06/2013 23:32

YAB sooooo U!

StarsAboveYou · 05/06/2013 23:32

YABU.

I appreciated that my DH cut down while I was expecting but would never have expected him to go without in his own home just to make me feel better about giving something up.

MrsBungle · 05/06/2013 23:32

Yabu for "bumps daddy" and yabu about the other stuff too imo.

Fakebook · 05/06/2013 23:32

Have you knocked yourself on the head? G

MorganMummy · 05/06/2013 23:32

YABU. I asked my DH not to drink more than one glass/pint ish in the last month of the pregnancy in case we needed to drive to hospital. Think that was okay but they put up with a lot from pregnant women and tend to do a lot more than usual - think they need some perks.

MalcolmTuckersMum · 05/06/2013 23:32

YAB so U it's hard to know whether to laugh or weep.

Bump's Daddy? Really?

UserError · 05/06/2013 23:33

I can't get past the title... I just can't.

squeakytoy · 05/06/2013 23:33

for gods sakes..

you are pregnant, not him..

burberryqueen · 05/06/2013 23:33

yabu

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 05/06/2013 23:33

YABU - YOU are the pregnant one, not him and if YOU can't happily make this small sacrifice for your unborn child then really - it doesn't bode well for being a mother frankly.

TidyDancer · 05/06/2013 23:34

Surely you know YABU? For the bumps daddy thing, as well as the scenario.

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 05/06/2013 23:34

and you might prefer Netmums.

WeAllHaveWings · 05/06/2013 23:34

I wouldn't have asked my dh not to drink just because I couldn't. He wouldnt have got bladdered while i watched, but a few drinks are ok.

Sorry, think yabu (but you can blame the hormones)

Jacksmania · 05/06/2013 23:34

I can't believe I'm delurking to post on this thread...

But, FFS... "my bump's daddy"?????????

I think I need more wine.

CloudsAndTrees · 05/06/2013 23:35

You lost me at bumps Daddy.

meganorks · 05/06/2013 23:35

I think yabu. There is no reason why he can't have the odd drink at home. And you can still have take away and 1 small drink if you want. Maybe the exception of red wine - the smell of that was a bit much when I was pregnant. If I was him I would probably be a bit concerned about what other demands you are going to start making in the later stages if you are like this already.

BIWI · 05/06/2013 23:36

Welcome to Mumsnet Aimeeleighb

Whoknowswhocares · 05/06/2013 23:36

Ludicrously unreasonable re the drink
Hilarious though with the new name for OH. I do hope you introduce him as that in company? Grin

squeakytoy · 05/06/2013 23:37

dont scare the OP away, this could be the start of an interesting few months of posting... Grin

BOF · 05/06/2013 23:37

Ignoring the bump's daddy thing, no, you are not being unreasonable. Of course he might have the odd beer, but it's a bit shit to carry on getting Wankered while you are sober as a judge.

anothershittynickname · 05/06/2013 23:37

Bumps Daddy??

Really??

Please tell me this isn't going to get all popular!!
