to not understand or find 'drunk' threads funny?

I really don't understand drunk threads....

When I've been out drinking and I get home I either go straight to bed (without taking my make-up off eww) or chuck a pint of water and then go to bed.

I have no effort to do anything, but crash out in bed.

I have to gather the will power to brush my teeth nevermind switching on my laptop and starting a thread. As it really is the furthest thing from my mind.

Also I do realise that people use their phones to start threads. But when I'm out having fun with friends or my partner drinking, thats generally exactly what I'm doing. I don't think - hang on a second and whip my phone out and start a thread on mumsnet.

And I just don't find posts such as -

TBH I don't go on MN FB or any other internet site when pissed, maybe if I started drinking at the pc and it went from there?! Like last night, I wanted to have a 'really drunk on NY' thread, but friends came over and next thing I was crashing out at 3am, and would certainly not have thought of MN then, but it develops naturally most times I think, and I love reading a good pissed thread!

I may or may not have posted on it before, I don't remember.

But I agree about most of the hjfhsdhfn threads.

Although I don't think logging in/passwords are an issue, my laptop remembers mine so that wouldn't stop me.

I haven't read 'THE' drunk thread; I've seen other 'drunk' threads and agree with OP. Not funny. I don't post on them.

I think that in some ways, those posters who've commented on 'enabling' are probably right. Any group of people doing the same activity (drinking, smoking, drugs, etc.), 'normalise' it. Safety from judgey-panters in numbers, perhaps?

The number of pointless threads on AIBU and people don't comment on why the thread is posted... yet this one, because it highlights something that some posters like to do... Armageddon.

Why not just shrug it off? No need to call the OP names.
